Movies return to 7Two from next week (Boxing Day with “The Kings Speech” 2010).
After going on hiatus mid-year (a movie aired each Saturday).
Making Seven the only FTA network to have 4 channels broadcasting movies.
If only they would use 7flix properly

I’ve been wondering for a while, now that Nine’s long-running output deal with Warner Bros expired, was re-negotiated and much programming decaying (with Seven picking-up a ton).
Whether Harry Potter could be next to jump ship?
Though (and someone may be able to answer) there might be a standalone deal just for HP, given how huge a franchise it is?
None the less, it’d be a big loss for Nine.

Many commenting on social media (particularly during Love Actually) about wanting the traditional “Die Hard” (1988) and “Home Alone” (1990) airings.
Ten had rights to both and regualrly aired them. Die Hard last year on Christmas Eve or thereabouts and Home Alone multiple times this year on Eleven.
But am wondering if Ten had a back-catalogue deal as part of the output deal, which was of course terminated, might explain things (rather than it being a seperate movie content deal as is often the case).
NB/
I mentioned Deck The Halls aired on Eleven the other night, that was actually produced by and copyright to Regency Enterprises, which Ten have a seperate deal with (via their distributors).
Therefore not exactly sure when the last standalone released 20C Fox movie aired on Ten.

Now, not sure if it’s a rights issue, as I know Ten and Nine share the Paramount back-catalogue.
But certainly a freakish programming clash!
I’d say Ten will have to amend, given they’re the night after, plus they’ve already aired it before - Nine’s listed as premiere

I’m guessing it’ll be the last time on Seven, before moving to Nine. Not just because the latter network now has a content deal with NBC Universal International, but because they already have rights to 2 and 3.

An analysis of Die Hard as a Christmas movie.
“Titanic” (1997) airs tonight on Ch 7.
Firstly, broadcast says over 4 hours on EPG, longest movie on TV of 2017, good luck!
Promoted as “digitally remastered” and “20th Anniversary”.
Wondering if that’s a version released on home entertainment or just Seven’s spin?
