McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri unveil their real-life LEGO F1 helmets

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have unveiled the unique helmets they’ll be wearing for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, designed in collaboration with the LEGO Group and McLaren.

43017 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Oscar Piastri Helmet and 43023 McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Lando Norris Helmet are both available now (having only been officially revealed yesterday), and offer brick-built versions of their respective drivers’ brand new commemorative helmets.

Alongside the official reveal of the two LEGO sets, both drivers also revealed their corresponding real-life helmets, which will be worn to celebrate McLaren’s 1000th Formula 1 race in Monaco this weekend. Just like their LEGO counterparts, the helmets mash up the drivers’ signature colour schemes with a unique McLaren papaya orange livery.

What was going to be a parade of Mercedes turned out to be a good race of strategy for Hamilton who ran away with it at the end. Antonelli DNF puts a slight break on his points lead for the moment. Piastri didn’t have a good day. Max was average and Norris did okay to get third.

I’m really concerned for Piastri. Was hoping he was going to be more competitive by now as I’m heading to Silverstone in a few weeks and don’t want to see a parade of Brits winning.

We were close for another all-British podium at a home race.

Thankfully not. I was at Silverstone all weekend. Was a brilliant event . Happy for Charles but poor Oscar copped it and never really recovered.
