Mock Studio Designs

I like it. Simple but elegant.

Also love love love the public viewing window.

Google is your best option for any questions.

I think it could do with some vertical blue panels to break up the back wall, other than that, great

Solid, definitive, no-fuss. Branding and content takes centre stage. I truly love your ABC set. And I agree - the public window is inspirational. Well done.

Very nicely put together but it feels very dated to me. IMO something like this would be okay for the 7pm sets but the News24 set needs to be more modern, energetic and dynamic.

45 minutes compressed into 4 minutes. Enjoy.

Spectacular effort. I’d give it a go, but a) computing power and b) why compete against the masters?

Computing power is nothing. I used to use my school computers which were absolute crap…

I encourage seeing others ideas and helping them.

The way you did the screens is complicated, in the image behind he desk it seemed you used multiple images, then layered them, u less it just looked like that

I had to do the screens that way as it is a curved screen to have the images on separate panels and join them up as one as I did in the model.

There’s a more time consuming way which is a more familiar way for some.

  1. Open up a image editor (I opened up Photoshop),
  2. Measure each panel of the curve (sometimes they’re not always the same dimensions
  3. Import each individual panel into the document and cover each panels with it
  4. Profit

Had a go using Indigo for a Ten News Brisbane set. Still a bit rough, but thought i would share.

I agree with Borat on this one m8

Very nice. To get rid of the multiple indigo render logos render everything under 1000px

thanks, will do next time

That sounds rather simple, and now looking back at it, I can properly see how it’s done

Can I just say, I have been on indigo rendered for almost half an hour and I was never able to figure out how to render, in the left of th top bar it has that play button that says render but I can’t click it

I was wondering which news that is, then I noticed it’s the American abc!

Where do you get that weather background, I’ve been looking but all the ones I’ve found have a presenter in them

@DDN inspired me to have a crack at a new News24 studio incorporating elements from the new 2017 graphics. Haven’t figured out how to create spot lighting yet so the evening shots further down are a bit dark (the studio itself is supposed to be dark but not the presenter!).

The shape of the set is pretty much the same as before (though I totally misjudged the scale of the space), just with the desk tucked further into the corner.

The new set would also offer personalisation options that the current set doesn’t, for example -

The Drum:

Lateline:

…and I’m also scheming up a News Breakfast setting but that will take a bit more time to put together.

Haven’t figured out how to create spotlighting yet

Try to find in the 3D warehouse a studio spotlight or PM me and I can send one.
