Mock Schedules

In my opinion, Family Feud on WIN at 4:30 must be a new episode. It sets up the night, leads into the news. It’s an important slot. A new Family Feud at 4:30 would surely crush its rivals on Seven and Southern Cross.

For WIN (and also for Ten), I’d consider a Project re-run at 10:30. Just gets the brand out there. It’s “new” (as in, made today). It’s topical. It’s very Aussie and very Ten.

Potential WIN line-up against Nine and Prime:

WIN

4.30 The Bold and the Beautiful
5.00 Ten Eyewitness News: First at Five
6.00 WIN News
6.30 The Project

That will be the schedule. There’s no way WIN will air Family Feud at 6 unless Ten forces them to.

But why do you think WIN would give up the chance to air Family Feud at 4:30 (on WIN alone)? The Bold and the Beautiful is good, but Family Feud is better.

Don’t be so sure. They need Family Feud on Ten. Let’s wait for a while before being sure about it

Given a probable (and confimed) wish to keep a 6-7:30pm News slot going…
Is there any precedence for SA regional viewers (who are 30 minutes behind us in timezone) seeing the news live?

ie: Flip the order:
6pm The Project (live)
7pm WIN News local (live)
7:30 Masterchef (delayed 30 mins).

A live “The Project” will have greater appeal. Of course, if there’s no WIN News in a given region then no point.

This is a schedule for Win not ten.

You do realise that Adelaide’s Ten Eyewitness News: First At Five airs live across the state, right?

No I assumed the Ten eyewitness news at 5pm was the same as the Sydney broadcast. Thanks for that.

So does the rest of South Australia have a local News or not viable?

And would showing project at 6pm (live) for SA viewers be seen as a good thing?

WIN axed their SA bulletins years ago, so I dare say the schedule will reflect the Adelaide TEN schedule.
The project is live and sometimes interactive so showing it live could be a good thing, but it’s also designed to flow into the 7.30 show so most of the time would feel disjointed for no good reason.

Southern Cross still do a bulletin for for Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill.

Mock WIN Schedule under Ten affiliation for Monday

Given that WIN like to run AAN straight after Nine’s news programming, plus the fact that they’ve lost the Today Show, I could see them pushing “The Talk” back to 7:30 before Studio 10, and then airing AAN straight after.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see them keeping Alive and Cooking at 2:30pm, and the overnight AAN as close to midnight as possible.

They don’t seem to show any of Nine’s Home Shopping programs overnight, so they could then bump the Project repeat straight after AAN, as they current do with A Current Affair, then air the 7:30am, 8:00am programs that they missed from the morning, followed by a random 30 minute filler program like Modern Family for example, before returning back to the TEN Network feed.

I like your schedule. But I think WIN would be a little silly not to air Family Feud somewhere in the schedule. If that is at 5:30 or 6:30. Could they possibly push the reality shows back 30 minutes?

6:30 Family Feud
7:00 The Project
8:00 Masterchef
9:10 Have You Been Paying Attention?
10:10 NCIS New Orleans
