2GB are reporting the passing of Mike Willesee.

Statement from Seven:

“We are deeply saddened to hear Veteran Australian television reporter, Mike Willesee, has lost his battle with throat cancer at the age of 76.

The Perth-born journalist was known for his masterful interviewing skills.

Willesee dominated Australian television current affairs for 50 years setting an industry standard that few were able to match.

His final major TV investigation was for Seven’s flagship news and public affairs programme Sunday Night.

Our thoughts are with his family.”

How eery that John Kennerly passed away on wednesday and 2 days later the reporter who did the big piece on KAK & John for Sunday Night, Mike Willesee has gone. An eery coincidence

The death of Golden Globe winning actress Katherine Helmond has been announced. Helmond, 89, passed away on February 23 from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. She was known for her roles in Soap, Who’s the Boss? and Everybody Loves Raymond.

So sad to hear that.

90210 was a legendary show.

So young taken too soon. A stroke… Luke Perry was great in 90210! Such a big loss to the 90210 fans and Riverdal fans, And the cast, crew and also his family and his two kids.

Out of all the deaths ive seen this year , this one has really affected me. RIP bro.
