Is this just another name for finals week or there will be another finals week after that? Anyway, there could be some surprise elimination during survival week.

MasterChef Australia And Coles’ Big Surprise.

Celebrating A Remarkable 10-Year Partnership.

The season full of surprises on MasterChef Australia this year reached a new height last night, as the hit family entertainment series and Coles celebrated their 10-year partnership in a surprising and emotionally-charged Mystery Box challenge.

As usual, the top 10 contestants lifted the lids of the Mystery Boxes – only to be stunned and delighted by what they found. Sitting under the lids was a $10,000 cheque from Coles for each contestant to help them pursue their food dreams.

The 10-year MasterChef Australia partnership between Coles and Network Ten is one of the most enduring and successful commercial relationships on Australian television.

Network Ten Executive General Manager, Revenue and Client Partnerships, Rod Prosser, said: “It has been an honour to work with Coles on every season of MasterChef Australia. Coles has always believed in our show and has been a wonderful partner.

“Last night’s amazing surprise was a celebration of both the contestants reaching the top 10 and our partnership with Coles. Network Ten, Coles and MasterChef Australia have set the benchmark in truly integrated partnerships and together we have made the brand synonymous with the show. You can only do that with a partner as committed as Coles.”

Coles Chief Operating Officer, Greg Davis, said: “Together, we have been able to showcase everyday Australians making extraordinary food and inspire our customers to create delicious meals for themselves and their families.

“Rewarding the top 10 with $10,000 each to pursue their food dreams seemed like the best way to commemorate our 10th season milestone with Network Ten, MasterChef Australia and Endemol Shine Australia.”

Scott Howard, Commercial Director, Endemol Shine Australia, said: “MasterChef Australia has been incredibly fortunate to have this relationship with Coles. Our collective 10-year old partnership has consistently delivered fantastic results, extending to MasterChef Australia contestants this season through Coles’ generosity, which we value highly.”

Why do the peanut gallery tell the contestants some things but not others? like they know Sarah left the skin on and they know Jess forgot the butter but they say nothing but they will tell Jess not to wash her coriander too much.

We can’t know everything the galley says as there is very little of their comments shown.

Apart from that, this year’s cast seems like one of the best, with so many capable and likeable contestants still left.

That’s why I was asking a couple of days ago: Is Survival Week another name for finals week? Is this season finishing early to allow for Ten’s inaugural Pilot Week to go up against the final week of Australian Ninja Warrior?
The guest chef for tonight’s immunity challenge is Ashley Davis, head chef of Copper Pot in Seddon in Melbourne’s inner west.

I doubt it, Pilot Week is slated for some time in August per Ten’s half year audience report.

Already? I thought it would be dragged out until August.

The Bachelor starts in July so they couldn’t drag it out that long.

Just thought it would be its normal 12 weeks.

Promo for next week shown tonight. Survival Week has been renamed Superpower Week.
I rank tonight’s episode as one of my top seven episodes in MasterChef Australia’s 10-year history. The top seven in no particular order are:
2009: Hong Kong Super Challenge
2010: Euro Super Challenge (London to Paris)
2010: Government House Canberra fine dining challenge
2011: Immunity challenge (Merle Parrish from Country Women’s Association beat Billy Law)
2011: United Nations VIP canape challenge
2011: Cooking for Dalai Lama
2018: Prince Charles’ Darwin visit canape challenge
