MasterChef Australia

I know he’ll most likely be in a “family friendly” type personality for MasterChef Australia but if Gordon Ramsay was in his trademark “Hells Kitchen” personality on this show, there’d probably be more beeps than at a supermarket checkout!

Will Ramsay visit Australia or will his appearance be a week in Los Angeles around shooting of HK or MasterChef USA?

If in the USA then there should be no issue between Gordon & George as the USA may not give George a visa after his criminal conviction. :smiling_imp:

Masterchef went to California for week 11 of Season 8 (2016) and Gorden Ramsay did not make a appearance doing that week. So I do not know

A brilliant article on George Calombaris’ ‘horror year’, extensive interview with Fiona Byrne in the Sunday Herald Sun:

Out of interest, anyone know the “12 year ambassadorship” (one of two) he lost?

He did contemplate quitting MasterChef, but it was Ten’s support that changed his mind.

Good on TEN for sticking by him, but that could have been just the shake up MasterChef needed!

Perhaps they’ll consider it for Season 11?

Gary, Matt and George had to be there next year for the decade anniversary.

Nigella Lawson is scheduled to appear at a School of Life event at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on January 24, so it seems her return to MasterChef will take place before or after the event.

Holden has switched its sponsorship of cooking shows from My Kitchen Rules to MasterChef, announcing the new Equinox as official vehicle of MasterChef (replacing Jaguar from last season). Another instance of sponsorship announcement well before the next season debut.
Holden also appointed chef Adam D’Sylva as an Equinox ambassador. I reckon he will be one of the guest chefs in the new season.

Looks like the contestants will have two guest appearances in three weeks this season. After Nigella Lawson filmed her episodes earlier this month, next week it will be Gordon Ramsay’s turn. According to the Herald Sun, Ramsay (who attracted a big crowd during an appearance at Westfield Doncaster today) will attend the Australian Open tomorrow before spending three days filming MasterChef in Melbourne.

EDIT: Nigella will appear on Studio 10 this Tuesday (January 23) to talk about her latest guest stint on MC. Hopefully we will see some sneak peek clips.

Ramsay did swear during filming last week according to the Sunday Herald Sun. It will be interesting to see how many F-words (and beeps) will make it to the TV broadcast :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m happy that they will have Nigella back again,Can’t wait until the next season

Quick answer, zero.

It’s a PG show, that will never change.

Even though it could be M at 7:30pm, most children, certainly younger than ~11 years old probably wouldn’t be allowed to watch by their parents.

I guess they could still have them but beep them out…

So that would mean no problem with OS travel.

The world’s first MasterChef the TV Experience restaurant will open in Dubai later this year, showcasing recipes of contestants from around the world. No doubt past Australian contestants will be involved.

Matt Preston told The Advertiser that some of the show’s SA success stories would be in the mix, so expect to see the likes of Poh Ling Yeow, Andre Ursini, Callum Hahn, Marion Grasby and even Adam Liaw featuring in the episodes.
The contestants were spotted filming a cooking challenge at Victoria Square in the heart of Adelaide yesterday (it was also the site of a pop-up restaurant for Seven’s Restaurant Revolution in 2016).

Also, 2017 winner Diana Chan and 2015 contestant Reynold Poernomo have set up pop-ups at HWKR, a hawker market-inspired rotating restaurant concept on the ground floor of residential Eq. Tower at A’Beckett Street at the northern edge of Melbourne CBD. Diana is running Chanteen showcasing Singaporean and Malaysian dishes, while Reynold is giving his KOI dessert bar a trial.
