MasterChef Australia

Why exactly?

Archie Thompson Knows The Ingredients Needed To Be A Champion.

Celebrity MasterChef Australia Premieres Sunday, 10 October At 7.30pm

During his 11 years playing for Melbourne Victory, Archie Thompson scored three championships, but does he have what it takes to claim victory in the MasterChef kitchen?

Archie knows that practice makes perfect, but when it comes to cooking, he has thrown the rule book out the window.

Still find it odd that his world record 13 goals is never mentioned.

Celebrity MasterChef definitely a nice watch during lockdown, especially when pitted with shows on competitor channels.

She did haha - heard of a dish called bibimbap?

Tonight’s season opener was extended for 22 minutes because of the long intro for the 10 celebrities. They didn’t start cooking until 17 minutes in.

Very surprised that Dilruk won the pin given his fellow contestants are more experienced in cooking.

Looks to me that elimination will again take place on Sunday nights.

EDIT: synopses for the next three episodes
Monday, 11 October
Feeling more at home in a cosy lounge setting, the celebrities are challenged to cook their favourite ‘comfort food’ dish. The winner will be granted immunity from the first elimination cook.

Sunday, 17 October
It’s the first elimination. The celebrities can cook sweet or savoury, but either way their dish needs to be delicious. There are 60 minutes on the clock and an open pantry with the garden in play. Guest chef is Gordon Ramsay.

Monday, 18 October
This challenge is a mystery box with a twist. Time is like gold in the MasterChef kitchen, and with immunity up for grabs for the winner, the risk might be worth the reward.

You could see how Mel was relaxed on the couch during tasting. She switched from high heels to pink ugg boots.

MasterChef Australia won gold in the culinary program category at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards this week.

I saw the ad yesterday, and it looks like his (Gordon’s) parts are pre-recorded, and he’s trying not to wake mum up from shouting too loud in the room next-door! :joy:

Gordon Ramsay didn’t judge anything tonight. All he did was randomly come on screen to say things like “there is xx minutes to go”; “good luck Tilly” and “there is 10 seconds to go”

How do you suggest he judge the food all the way from the UK?

Menulog :stuck_out_tongue:

Touché. :joy:

What a fun episode tonight. Better than some comedies.

Chrissie was hilarious last night. I was really sad to see her go. Even if it wasn’t perfect at least she attempted to make something! Thorpe literally made a basic sandwich with packet bread, bottle mayonnaise and packet chips on the side. I don’t really agree with that result.

They just continue to try to make Thorpe something that he just isn’t anymore.

Dilruk should not have played his pin. After seeing Chrissie’s quiche lorraine and realising the problems she suffered during the cook, I think Dilruk would have had a good chance of going through to the next round with the pin intact.

Chrissie’s exit was not discussed on her Nova100 breakfast show today until the final segment before the program finished at 9am.

Thorpey is becoming more annoying by the episode. The constant pleading for immunity is too much. He has the least amount of charisma of all the contestants.

Loving Archie and Nick on this celebrity show. Just the fact they’re sportstars and willing to create amazing food. Thorpy is the only one that’s annoying me.

They got a really great cast this year.
