Given how well and consistent it rated each night, I’d say they’d have to be stupid to replace it with low rating filler.
Agree. Having said that, I can see them airing it Sunday - Tuesday again next year if Coronavirus restrictions are still impacting TV production in order to stretch out the season
Totally. Thinking more of a cost thing. If they could reduce the cost of the show, air for 15 weeks and continue to get similar shares for the week it wouldn’t be a bad option for 10.
Congratulations to Emilia.
Must have been hard competing against her bestie though
Laura was unlucky that she burnt her hand but she kept fighting, great finale👍
I hope all 3 judges return next season
Emelia said she had to wait for two months before revealing that she won the title. That means the grand final was filmed in late May. (However, The Daily Telegraph reports tonight that the finale was filmed seven weeks ago, which put it at early June)
I hope not. The season did start to drag when they did that. I like Masterchef across more nights it’s much faster paced. The elimination / mystery box / Immunity formula felt too repetitive.

I walk out of this kitchen tonight with my head held high, a better cook, a stronger woman & oh so proud of what I’ve achieved. My future is exciting, it’s bright & I cannot wait to see what else it has to offer. To my Mils, you are a true queen, a deserving winner & I am so so proud of you. To Jock, Andy and the beautiful Melissa; you three have made this experience one of the best in my life & am forever grateful for the roles you have played in my career. Today, I am a proud to be a woman. A strong, confident woman. It’s been a truly humbling experience, second chances don’t come often, and for me, I know I’ve made the most of this one. So much love to every single one of you supporting me. With love, Loz
Looks like 10 is running the MasterChef grand final at 1pm today.
Dani Venn, who won this season’s only immunity pin with her Sri Lankan-inspired pineapple curry sauce, launches her sauce through Coles from today. She has collaborated with Coles with two more Sri Lankan sauces which will be unveiled in the next few months.

Drumroll please…!! Introducing Dani Venn Sri Lankan Pineapple Curry!! Sharing this is the biggest ‘pinch me’ moment, right up there with winning the first challenge on @masterchefau this year where I cooked ‘A Taste of Sri Lanka’ featuring a pineapple curry and impressing the master himself @gordongram as well as the incredible judges @fooderati @andyallencooks @zonfrillo with my authentic Sri Lankan flavours and winning that coveted immunity pin. Now you can taste it for yourself as today my new range launches at @colessupermarkets nationally and will be rolling out in stores this week. I’m beyond thrilled to share this recipe that’s so close to my heart with you and so that you can enjoy a little taste of Sri Lanka at home. It’s made with real ingredients like curry leaves, pineapple, spices and coconut milk and it pays homage to such a special place and cusiine that is Sri Lanka. It’s super mild and family friendly perfect with chicken, prawns, pulled pork, roasted cashews and fried tofu. Thankyou to all of the MasterChef team and contestants as well as Coles for making this dream a reality. I’m beyond grateful and I hope you love this product as much as I have enjoyed creating it. And watch this space there is more goodness to follow!

Dani also revealed in an interview with Woman’s Day that she had split with husband Chris Burgess.
Fun fact: The head chef who works on new Coles food products is Michael Weldon, who was the runner-up in Masterchef Season 3 (2011). Season 3 also happens to be Dani Venn’s first season.
Speaking of Courtney (who was in the photo above), she and 17 other former contestants from this season had their reunion in a backroom near MasterChef kitchen after the filming of the grand final last month.

And that’s a wrap on @masterchefau Back To Win! So grateful to be part of this years show (mainly because of this beautiful bunch of humans), I couldn’t love them anymore! Can’t wait for us all to catch up soon…Who’s cooking dinner??

I think the illusion of social distancing they went so hard to create on screen was only going to be effective if the contestants didn’t realease photos like this. If Emilia and Laura’s hug came under some scrutiny, hope no news sites see this one.
It seems that when the filming wrapped up for season 12, almost everything from the kitchen including unused ingredients, kitchen utensils and used aprons were donated to charity.
MasterChef Australia will finally be seen in the US after Tubi signed a distribution deal with Endemol Shine. The deal makes the AVOD platform the exclusive US home for international versions of MasterChef, including those from Australia, Mexico, Canada and the UK.
they just showed the Masterchef kids ad.
Season 12 is currently on air on Lifetime in Southeast Asia. Apparently many fans were caught off guard when Lifetime recently began to show repeats on Thursdays and Friday nights. Lifetime was forced to clarify on social media that it is showing MC just three nights a week (Monday to Wednesday), similar to Australia when the season had a few weeks left.
Season 12 debuted on Star World India on Monday this week (September 14). The entire season had been streaming on Disney+ Hotstar in India on the same day as the Australian broadcast.
I’d call if infamous, rather than iconic. But, each to their own.
