Love Island Australia

Nine will be hoping for better weather in Fiji than the US version has been experiencing.

It would make sense if they can use the US house that is already set up, much like the used the UK one in Mallorca.

They didn’t use the UK house for our version. It was a different villa.

I’m pretty sure the UK relocated to a new villa and so Australia used the old house? That’s what I thought I read somewhere last year anyway. Could be wrong.

Haven’t the UK used the villa used in the Australian version this year?

The next UK series will be from Cape Town.

Yeah they announced last week that there will be 2 seasons a year starting from next year. When its winter in the UK, the Cape Town season will air and then the normal summer season will still be filmed in Majorca.

Not sure. I thought they had their own villa.

Last years launch promo was soooo much better.

New promo’s out, it’s hilarious

Not bad, I reckon this will do well for them.

What an embarrassment to the Australian television industry.

I don’t think they can embarrassed anymore than when they filmed The Shire.

All these shows are done through central casting or friends of previous cast.

They also trawl Instagram accounts and find the most vacuous up themselves people too.

I’ve probably said it before, but when will the general public finally wake up to the massive con jobs disguised as “reality” dating, relationship & wedding TV?

For the majority of contestants, it’s really more about people trying to boost their media profiles rather than finding actual love. Which is sad, because I do think we need programs on TV which show viewers (especially younger ones) positive and realistic examples of the dating/relationship game.

LOL yeah, the only good thing about that show was reading all the comments online about how trashy and cringeworthy it was.

This looked like a pisstake of these type of shows, that you’d see on a sketch comedy show.

The result of the most recent season of Love Island in UK was a complete farce. The couple the public voted as winners had only been a couple in the villa for about 2 weeks and were barely together while the couple that were in love and had been together since the start of the season missed out. The winners are no longer a couple. It was also revealed that only six out of the 36 who appeared on this series went through the application process. The rest were scouted including 6 who had agents.

I think you’re missing the point, it’s purely entertainment. If you want something wholesome, flick over to the ABC.

LOL, are you expecting a documentary on dating and mating? You’ll have better luck watching National Geographic then.

But how will people learn how to look and act vacuous enough so that their Instagram posts will break the internet? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
