I suspect that Fiji would allow the show to be made there but wouldn’t pay any subsidy hence the reluctance by Nine.
I hear there are some facilities available on Christmas Island that might be cheap

Somehow I believe it would be cheaper to go and film it overseas though. Especially if they went somewhere like Bali.

UK chavs take their holidays in Spain just like our bogans in Bali with their Bintang shirts.
The last place I would shoot a show which is renowned for being promiscuous is Bali.

News Corp reports today that potential contestants for season 2 have been advised to prepare for seven weeks of filming, tentatively scheduled to begin on September 30.
Looks like it will air in and 8:30 slot then.
It probably should, it’s more suited to a later timeslot. Could work well off the back of The Block.
Does anyone know if they’ve finalised the location?
