Life Uncut’s Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley sign with SCA
Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley have signed with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), bringing one of the country’s top-ranking podcasts into the Listnr stable, Mumbrella can reveal.
It’s not yet clear how Byrne and Hockley’s new deal with SCA will factor in radio, however insiders say the company plans to include them on the Hit Network lineup in the future.
Will KIIS dump them ASAP?
I think it’s unwise for KIIS to dump the ladies now, with 1.5 months remaining to the end of 2025 radio ratings period.
But when the talent signs to a rival radio station, they often dump them so they’re not building an audience just to take them elsewhere.
I would say the 3pm Pick Up will be dumped altogether. Probs to make way for Smallzy. In saying that I reckon ARN will give Britt and Laura until the end of this year to wrap up on KIIS before they jump ship to SCA.
Expect ARN to formally announce the 3pm Pick Up is to not continue beyond this year as a result. Let’s see if I’m right on this one, shall we?
Spot on. And that is why we’ll likely probs get an announcement from ARN regarding the pending departure of Britt and Laura, but not without one final farewell on KIIS first, which will likely be at the end of this year if my predictions in my above post are to turn into reality.
Well why not? May as well! ![]()
That’s huge to have the duo jump to SCA. I’d immediately also grab Mitch Churi and reunite the trio - possibly on a Weekend Breakfast show, plus LiSTNR podcast.
Great get by SCA.
To many people with podcasts that shouldn’t be behind a mic. Plenty of radio talent around
LiSTNR has a new brand. Heart
Three stations so far
Heart
Heart Hits
Heart 60’s
Two strong hearts: SCA baits ARN with new Heart Network
Heart is SCA’s new digital audio network. Sound familiar?
This morning, Southern Cross Austereo announced the Heart Network, a new national band of music stations streaming across DAB+ and Listnr. Tomorrow, rival network ARN will announce a major refresh of its iHeart app. Is that the sound of lawyers circling?
SCA’s Heart Network will start with two adult contemporary stations — Heart and Heart Hits — before following what it calls “a clear roadmap for further expansion across genres and formats” in a media release issued on Tuesday morning.
Expect 2day FM to switch to this
its a bit similar to that one in the UK
I was thinking the same - Heart 80s, Heart 70s etc
“60’s”… there’s that apostrophe ![]()
Is the SCA “heart” branding, the reason why ARN has been dropping the “iHeart Radio" branding?
