I can’t tell how much promotion has been done on-air for BL(&B), but if the answer is “a lot”, well… that’s awkward.
Radio stars Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton’s much-anticipated return to the airwaves has been delayed for several months due to a contract dispute.
An ARN spokeswoman declined to comment on the nature of the contract dispute but said the station “always knew” their official start date would be April 1.
An interim breakfast show for KIIS1023 will be revealed next week.

There has been a lot of promos mentioning Ben & Liam starting Jan 19 this week, like nearly every ad break.
I’m sceptical of April 1 as well. They’d only be on for two mornings before the Easter long weekend.

They already have a 10-week break now effectively, so I think KIIS would plan them to work through that period.
They could even trot out the “sorting out the kinks” excuse.
I could see Ben & Liam working through the non-survey period to gain an advantage over their competition, but - apart from triple j - I can’t think of any breakfast A-teams who would go to air on Good Friday.

Didn’t they finish up at Nova months ago? Stupid. I don’t honestly see Ben & Liam as any threat to Nova91.9’s breakfast show audience. Ben & Liam have been out of that slot for some time now - even before, they were on Nova91.9 early breakfast.
… As for interims … I hear Lowie is without a brekkie gig at the moment

I thought the contract might have been Kyle wanting to take over as was originally planned and now he was threatening KIIS management with breach of contract.
At least then the only way will be up for Ben and Liam from the rock bottom ratings that would bring.
