Following the lack of immediacy with 96FMâs online rebrand, with Mix102.3 currently running teasers for KIIS1023 and Ben & Liam, itâs a shame there is no mention if the relaunch & new 2026 breakfast show on any Mix102.3 socials, nor their website.
When KIIS1065 launched in Sydney, it was everywhere - well before ARN flicked the switch.
TBH, Iâm actually surprised KIIS1023 isnât using the ballsy V/Oâs from the eastern KIIS stations.
⌠Back over to KIIS973, does anybody have inside sources to confirm if weâll see a return to the previous variety format in Brisbane? Or is âBrisbaneâs 2nd #1 Hit Music Stationâ here to stay in 2026?
With Robin, Kip & Corey returning in 2026, this would be the PERFECT opportunity to also return the music format that Brisbane loves. Or at least share a playlist with KIIS1023 which (so far) is hoping to be broader than KIIS1065 and KIIS1011.
Although, I wonder if weâll see a broadening of the entire KIIS Network playlist in 2026 following their âBest Song Everâ tactic last year? The average age of a K&J listener would definitely know a tonne of 90âs (and 80âs) tracks.
Wishful thinking from everyone at this stage I think given the lack of Cruise changes and same variety being pushed on to-be KIIS1023
Good way to scare off listeners, seems like theyâre learning from Melbourneâs disaster
I suspect KIIS staff are still away til the 12th as the KIIS Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne sites still have the 2025 programs listed. I suspect theyâll add Smallzy, Ben & Liam etc then. May also see Gold Brisbane/Adelaide and KIIS Perth appear
This mock came true!! With the newer colours/font. ![]()
I still think the top option is the better logo. Itâs actually gold, rather than that terrible yellow colour on the current one.

10.06pm AEST. Song from 2010 (16 years ago!) playing on KIIS Brisbane. Interesting - wonder if they are changing the playlist or syncing with KIIS Adelaide?
At 10pmâŚ. thatâll be in there because of their obligation to boost their Aus content quota⌠Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Wonder what the KIIS network is averaging these days anyway, not that anyone is paying attentionâŚ.
Interesting, maybe a website established as early as tomorrow?
Is there a KIIS Adelaide/Gold Adelaide/Gold Brisbane page yet?
There is a Kiis Adelaide page, kiis1023adl.
I canât seem to find a Gold Adelaide or Gold Brisbane page
Why not use the existing Mix page and rebrand it?
i think this was made as a placeholder so that no-one else claims the username
they should rebrand the Mix page once it launches and switch the usernames over
What an annoying Instagram handle. Surely they couldâve secured kiisadelaide or kiis1023. Interesting that they didnât get a name like that when they initially launched the KIIS Network years ago.
They are insane if they donât reformat Brisbane to align with Adelaide, especially with the return of the breakfast show. The CHR format is holding back the success of 97.3, not helping it. If they truly want Robyn, Kip and co to succeed, they will tweak the music.
The same can be said across the KIIS Network.
In Sydney, youâve got 2Day struggling with new music only. In Melbourne, youâve got The Fox and Nova100 to compete with.
So they may as well skew slightly older/broader across KIIS and that way they can still share one log nationally.
Listening to Mix102.3 recently, and they really arenât as soft sounding as initially thought. Apart from breakfast and a name change, I canât see too much else changing in Adelaide.
Yes, if they tweaked the whole networkâs music they could own the Hot AC market. A lot of really successful stations in the US with this format - MY-FM in LA is one that springs to mind. The obsession with a CHR format in Australia is baffling. Look at Los Angeles, only really has 1 mainstream CHR station (KIIS), and that is always beaten by MY-FM (Hot AC), KOST (AC) and K-Earth (Classic Hits).
FTFY. Meanwhile all Australian metros have two mainstream CHR networks.
Someone move to rhythmic or something.
The pitfalls of a copy-paste jobâŚ
You could have atleast changed it to the local breakfast show name and station in the article ARN.
So whatâs gonna fill the gap until then?
