KIIS Network

I think it’s interesting how he keeps interjecting with his childish taunts and rants but they try to ignore him now and carry on, which annoys him so he keeps antagonising them.

They are probably use to it.

It’s called trauma-bonding where a victim forms a connection or attachment to their abuser.

Melbourne would argue that’s the reason for K&J’s Sydney audience

Dear god people wake up! She has a book coming out on 29 October!

The KIIS breakfast formula is for hosts to reveal “shocking and sad” parts of their private lives on air to create sympathy, controversy and ratings. Even Robyn on 97.3 has been doing it for years.

Jackie wouldn’t give a s#t what Kyle was doing. It’s about RATINGS and in this case a nice bonus with book sales. Do you think it’s a coincidence the book is out next week?

Sorry for the rant but geez don’t be so gullible people.

Brian, I know you have a hatred for Kyle and Jackie O and everything they stand for and that you’re very active in this thread on those thoughts but sometimes you really should actually listen to the segments first before making any judgements.

This book release is not news to listeners. She’s been speaking about it on air for months.

The segment in question where she reveals her drug abuse and rehabilitation journey actually starts off with “as you all know my book is out next week so today I’ll be reading a bit from it”.

Jackie didn’t just suddenly come out with this revelation. She read it live from her book.

So please don’t say that listeners are gullible etc about her motives. They don’t need to be gullible when they’re told directly what is happening.

Obviously you’re entitled to comment in here and be involved just as much as everyone else but if you’re going to make these comments, and believe me my view of Kyle in particular has changed severely this year, please ensure you have all the facts first.

And yet most of us knew nothing about it until…

And to focus on a sensationalist story designed to get maximum exposure, which it has across all media.

To think this sudden bringing this story out into the open on the eve of a book sale is mere coincidence and not a deliberate ploy I think is being too kind to her and the show.

I’m not suggesting it is a coincidence. Of course it’s not. I’m just pointing out they aren’t being as sneaky or clever about it as Brian is saying. They’ve been very open about the book launch and date and the fact Jackie read it from her book.

It’s not a sudden reveal due to timing. Clearly planned and they haven’t tried to hide that.

Exactly David LOL - come on!

It’s nothing to do with my opinion of them.

And if you’re happy to go along with the ride then good on you.

Who’s being gullible though? You keep saying that and I’ve said twice now it’s clear it’s no coincidence. Do you need me to say it a third time?

I’ll say it louder for you then.

I AM AGREEING WITH YOU. :+1:

I don’t need you to say anything mate.

Again, if you enjoy the show then good for you.

The gullibility I was referring to though isn’t just about the timing of the book release, it’s about the whole concept of sucking people in to their own personal dramas.

Omg .

What are you talking about? Who said anything about enjoying the show?

How many times do I have to say that I agree with you? I see through it. It was a clear stunt so what the actual fuck are you on about?

Calm down. People are entitled to their opinion without others needing to freak out every time.

Your statements are contradictory.

Brian, I know you have a hatred for Kyle and Jackie O and everything they stand for and that you’re very active in this thread on those thoughts but sometimes you really should actually listen to the segments first before making any judgements.

This indicates you are enjoying the show. This is what is confusing.

But I really don’t know what you’re getting all defensive about.

Of course you’d weigh in.

What opinion? He isn’t giving an opinion. He’s continuing saying things that I’m fully aware of and ignoring that I’m actually agreeing with him.

No it doesn’t. Not at all. I’m just saying you should listen to the whole story before calling people gullible. Like I said they were very clear about their motives so I’m not sure who’s gullible when they’ve been extremely transparent with this.

David - I wasn’t even talking to you!!! I was making a general comment and you reacted like I was talking directly to YOU. I wasn’t.

Just because he listens to the show doesn’t mean that he enjoys it - @David has mentioned before that he grew up listening to them, so it’s a bit of a habit to check in on them every now and then.

Exactly - it’s a media discussion site - it would be pretty boring if we all had the same view.

Yes you were.

This was only after YOU engaged me after my first general comment (not directed at anyone).

If it makes you feel better I will state that a large swathe of the audience is gullible - and I stand by that.

I am entitled to my opinion that a large portion of the audience is gullible enough not to join the dots. You have a different view. That’s fine.
