Kayo Sports

I agree but apparently the AFL thinks they will have to postpone some rounds. Damian Barrett reporter that it could be as soon as round 2 when they o
Postpone. I haven’t signed up to Kayo yet and I am really considering not signing up at the moment.

Kayo won’t have any costs if there is no sports being played anywhere in the world, so everyone cancelling won’t really be a big deal.

When did Kayo add Sky News?

Just resubscribed with that $2.50 a month voucher my footy club sent through. You could also opt for Kayo Premium for $3.50 a month.

I have unsubscribed for now, since there will be no cricket for the foreseeable future. There are enough classic matches on YouTube to fill the void. I can’t see the footy codes holding out much longer, but I still refuse to watch AFL (umpiring bias) and the Dragons don’t have a snowflake’s chance in the NRL this year…

How much is this going to cost Kayo sports now. As their isn’t any live sports, you would expect this would be one of the many streaming services to be the one hardest hit?

Can Foxtel/Kayo get through this?

News Corp doesn’t think the worst has come for Foxtel, with Kayo reporting 444,000 subscribers, 408,000 of which are paying, for the quarter – a big jump from the previous year. However, as of May 2, that number has dropped to 272,000 paying subscribers and the lack of live sport is likely to see that figure reduce further.

It would be interesting to see how many subscribers they had over the last 2 months.

272,000 as of early this week

For some reason I cant seem to cast my Kayo onto my chromecast. All it has is the Apple TV icon.

How come Kayo has ads during the game? Isn’t it supposed to be ad break free?

It doesn’t.

It does, but only during select AFL games that are being broadcast on free-to-air in your nearest city. Foxtel Now, Go and Kayo users get ads, Foxtel satellite/cable users get ad-free.

on Fox Footy yes.

But you don’t actually get Fox Footy on Kayo. And if you stream the “ Fox Sports 504” channel on Kayo, i’m pretty sure the Seven-produced games are blacked out.

Ok I didn’t know about Fox Footy but I always watch Fox League & there is no issues on that channel.

Yes, because it is a different rights deal. Fox Footy Play (which is the version of Fox Footy on Kayo, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go, Watch AFL etc.) doesn’t show 7 produced AFL matches live from the Fox Footy (ad-free) feed. They stream the direct Seven Feed (either 7Mate Sydney or 7 Melbourne, ads included) siren to siren.
