NFL on Fox keeping their scorebug from last season. They have the Super Bowl and I’d expect them to retain the current look.
Given the track record of broadcasters unveiling new graphics during the Super Bowl, it would be a pretty safe bet to assume they will roll out a new set come February.
The current graphics were around since Super Bowl LVII
BBC Sport debuted a new virtual studio for their UEFA Champions League coverage. Inserts, under the current in-house graphics, fitted the star motif at the top right hand corner besides the BBC Sport yellow. This is a supercut for that:
Details of the new set can be seen here:
And a pan around the renders of the usual Match of the Day and co. sets:
I’ve just found out that the BBC’s legendary weekly football highlights show Match of the Day celebrated its 60th anniversary back in August this year.
This is the new title sequence for the 2024-25 Premier League season.
Speaking of Premier League, here’s a look in NBC’s studio (I assume in Sky’s facilities):
It’s at NBC Sports’ headquarters in Stanford, Connecticut.
Neville is doing studio analysis for NBC this weekend as part of his role as a special contributor to their PL coverage.
Is that their normal package?
Yep correct - this is an NFL Network exclusive game. The NFL World Feed graphics are just a variation of this - but a full NFL Network produced setup is FAR slicker and more cohesive. Granted, the 1st and 10 on field virtual graphic is on the huge side.
The NBC broadcast featured a surprise appearance by Celine Dion.
From the start of the 2024/25 season, a Friday night A-League match (usually the 7.30pm AEDT match) will be shown live on TVB Plus, a FTA multichannel of TVB network in Hong Kong. Both English commentary (from Paramount+) and Cantonese commentary are available.
Every match of the A-League Men season is streamed live on TVB’s subscription streaming platform myTV SUPER.
Fox Sports (US) put in an augmented reality set for Fox NFL Sunday last year but until now they’ve really only done things with it that they could have done on the old physical set. Until this weekend just gone anyway.
Instead of crossing to Tom Brady for a game preview with him in one box and the studio in another box, they virtually brought Tom Brady to the studio while he was physically at the stadium.
He looked slightly flatter than everyone else and Michael Strahan joked that Brady was too big, but it was a fairly impressive use of the technology available to them.
Funny, FTA Friday Night A-League in HK but not Aus.
