Have Insiders ever pre-recorded an interview before? Poor form nonetheless.
Maybe he had other commitments this morning.
So don’t interview him until he’s available. Ever noticed he rarely does live long form interviews?
He doesn’t do accountability. Arrogant turd who loves a weasel answer.
Pretty sure they have earlier that morning, not prior days though.
Insiders setting audience records
In 2020 Insiders has achieved its biggest ever audiences as public interest in the coronavirus pandemic and its ramifications drives an uplift across the news and current affairs category.
Year to date, Insiders has recorded a metro average audience of 480,000, up 24% on the 2019 average. There has been a 14% rise in regional audiences year-on-year and a 25% increase in iview audiences.
Audiences in the first half of the year were particularly strong, driven by peak interest in coronavirus during this time. The metro average audience between February and April was 505,000. In the July-September quarter the metro average was 443,000, up 14% on the 2019 average.
Among the audience highlights, the 5 April episode with ACTU Secretary Sally McManus as the featured interview was the highest-rating broadcast episode in the program’s history with a metro average audience of 661,000.
The 29 March episode, with Finance Minister Mathias Cormann as the featured interview, had a metro average audience of 613,000.
Says Executive Producer Sam Clark: “For 19 years, first with Barrie Cassidy and now with David Speers, the job of the Insiders team every Sunday has been to help inform Australians about politics and policy and how they’re impacting the nation and people’s lives.
“At this time of great difficulty and uncertainty for all of us, we’re proud to see the program has been able to provide this service.”
