But why do they use that stupid font? It makes it look like a old history presentation in year 9 because of it!
The PROUD SPONSOR text?
Yeah, Iâm sure WIN or another channel wouldnât use that font.
No, I agree with that sentiment. That font is an eyesore. Everything else is good.
And based on this post theyâve somehow been using it since 2017! But yes I agree with you, the logo and the other elements by 9 donât look bad.
??
Shouldâve gone to Specsavers
ah yes, i see Imparja is still using the Microsoft fonts colelction
Thatâs like something that was clearly made on PowerPoint. I can make the same design in PowerPoint quite easily. Seems Imparja really is high and dry on money which means they canât afford those fancy fonts or Nine graphics for the PROUD SPONSOR text, so they just use the freemium font that can be widely found on Windows PCs.
Itâs Arial Black for those curious.
Itâs not
They are the Nine graphics!! Do you really think they canât afford fonts - in an affiliation deal they pay for ..?
Literally the only change since 2017 is the use of their new, non dotty logo in these boards.
Fantastic, I can make mocks now with that horror.
Is there a reason Imparja donât use whatâs already provided and just cover the Nine part of the sponsor board?
On the plus side, theyâre cleaning up their logo faster than Nine is with cleaning out the 3D dotty logo.
Speaking of PowerPoint, a 5-minute mock with a sensible logo placement.
Used a Nine sponsor board as a base, which is why thereâs no Arial Black
Edit: A version with Avenir Next LT Pro, a different default PowerPoint font
Much better! Love it!
Hey Imparja, are you currently reading this thread? You need to see this!
Can you really not notice the difference in fonts?
This is definitely not the font Nine were using during the same period
i donât get it⌠you guys spinning out over a font
yes & I pointed out previously, way back when, re Imparja doing their own thing with lineups:
I still agree it looks tacky and deviates from the templates they have been provided, but to say they canât afford a font is hyperbole to me
18 new posts⌠Thought Imparja was the next network to shut down.
Iâm surprised theyâre using that new logo on air. I was under the impression it was only a corporate rebrand, but it seems not.
Looks bloody terrible and doesnât fit the Nine brand whatsoever. Should go with custom on air presentation or just rebrand the station as Nine, with custom Imparja-themed billboards like WIN do.
Might be time to fire up my archive channel
Big improvements on WWOS cover
However the idents are just a logo animating
Normal programming and promos uses Nine watermark, also side note good to see IMP in HD!
ErmâŚprobably dont call their local police, they have enoigh to deal with. IYKYK (sadly).
The logo is fine, the implementation could be better.
Then the Government needs to essentially stop funding Imparja in that case, surely with advertisers withdrawing their advertising from Imparja and taking it over to Seven I would imagine it would make absolutely zero sense to keep Imparja going. Isnât Imparja running at a loss otherwise without Government funding?
I say change these local feeds over to the capital city relays of Channel 9 (metro dirty feeds full-time without any Imparja opt-outs) which would be more cost-efficient, or get VAST to stop carrying Imparja, change it over to a capital city Channel 9 station, and give the people in these communities access to the VAST satellite service where they would be better served by a metro Channel 9 station directly, even if via satellite.
Should be bound to happen anyway if 10 Central packs up and leaves town, in which a capital city Channel 10 would fill the void on VAST.
Iâd agree with you, but thereâs a problem. If the feds stop providing funding to Imparja, an First Nations/Indigenous owned and run organisation, you do know the outrage and handwringing that will erupt? Itâs the optics.
Alice Springs, especially with all the issues they have, need someone that can represent them properly. Imparja could be that voice, if itâs done properly. The Feds should be imposing some level of local output as a condition of ongoing funding, and making Nine assist if they want certain fees reduced on a ongoing basis.
