I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The “algorithm” / the producers are choosing who does the food trials, currently revealed by the bone phone instead of sending Robert & Julia into camp for some reason. Were Robert & Julia even filming at this stage?

The two celebrities facing the elimination were selected by their opposing team captains.

Barry Williams talked about performing with The Wiggles. Found a photo. :open_mouth:

Clearly Rob and Julia are at the trials, the elephants graveyard and have come into camp a few times. It is probably just logistics that make it easier to announce via phone and just have Rob and Julia go straight to the trials, as most studio stuff was probably filmed later. It is kind of pointless having them coming to camp to announce when it isn’t viewer voted or live.

Tuesday’s episode (February 3) would be the second elimination, with one of three male celebrities to go home.

They seem to be sticking with this cliffhanger format. When an elimination challenge starts, we won’t find out who goes until the next episode.

It is now what we expect but it still extremely frustrating. I would rather they start the next episode with the full challenge, rather than commence it and end an episode midway through one.

It is a shame that one of these 3 guys have to go. I think that Matt has come across well on this show despite being one of the lesser known stars. I’m not full understanding why they keep putting him up for elimiantion though. The other 2 guys definitely would not go if it was a voting format. Someone like Mia would be long gone by now if it was viewer voted. She adds absolutely nothing to this show.

Tonight’s trial was a promotion for McDonald’s El Maco beef and McCrispy burgers. The celebrities had to collect ingredients labels dotted across an obstacle playground within 15 minutes in order to win the burgers for dinner.

While the four celebrities won the challenge, they were told when they returned to camp, they were not to reveal to fellow campmates that they were competing for Maccas. Instead, the four celebrities said they only won four stars which made Dyson livid. The surprise was finally revealed at dinner time.

Matt Drops The Ball.

Matt Zukowski’s Time In The Jungle Comes To An End.

One of the Elephant Graveyard’s frequent visitors, Matt Zukowski knows better than most that nothing good ever happens there.

With his time in the jungle beginning with a terrible stay, Matt would later return two more times, fighting for his spot in camp in some tense elimination battles. But sadly, tonight, Matt’s time in the jungle came to an end.

In a head-to-head-to-head battle against Dyson and Luke, the trio played a jungle version of a classic skill game featuring sticks and rocks, to see who would be walking through the Tunnel of Doom, and back out into the real world.

The influencer and podcast host came into the jungle hoping to show his fellow celebrities a different side to himself than they may have seen in the media.

Wearing his big, beautiful heart on his sleeve, Matt opened up about his highly publicised divorce, his feelings of homesickness, and his phobia of heights; which he bravely confronted during a solo trial where he was suspended a whopping 50 meters in the air, collecting stars while walking across a beam.

There were laughs, there were tears… and that was just during Matt’s debut stand-up comedy set that he performed in camp. Speaking to Robert Irwin and Julia Morris after his elimination, Matt said that his openness and vulnerability in the camp helped heal him, and he walks back into the real world a new man.

Matt’s time in the jungle was in support of R U OK?

Ten celebs remain, but only one can be crowned our next King or Queen of the jungle? Who will it be? Stay tuned to find out!

Barry Williams Farewells I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Here’s the story, of a man named Barry, who had made the jungle camp his new home! But in a heartbreaking battle at the Elephant’s Graveyard, it was sadly time for a very Brady farewell for this Hollywood icon.

Up against Rebekah Elmaloglou, the pair went head-to-head in a tense task where they had to drop a ball through a zig zag of tunnels, timing their ball drop precisely to land on the pontoon of a tugboat circling a moat.

Though Barry initially started strong, he was ultimately sent through the Tunnel of Doom and back out into the real world.

Speaking to hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris after his elimination, Barry said his experience was truly unforgettable. “I embraced every single part of it from the very beginning. This was my dream, and this opportunity came and I just jumped at it… it’s everything I could have hoped for.”

Barry doesn’t leave the jungle empty-handed, walking out with his head held high and a lifetime of memories, he also earned himself a nickname, Big Bad Bazza, and was dubbed an honourary Australian.

Looking back on his time in camp, Barry said his kids back home gave him all the motivation to push through, even during one of the toughest eating trials – the Wheel of Misfortune – where he volunteered to eat the final dish of pig’s brain.

“I have a wonderful son at home who is 23, and a daughter who is 14, and I couldn’t let them down, right? And then there was no looking back.”

Barry’s time in the jungle was in support of WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation. “I know that down in Melbourne they had a couple of really catastrophic fires. WIRES was right there, very involved… and that’s when you need an organisation to come in and be helpful,” Barry said.

While Barry’s time in the jungle may be over, his impact on his campmates will be felt up until the end. But who will be crowned King or Queen of the jungle? And who will be next to face the Elephant’s Graveyard? Stay tuned!

I’m not surprised I’m not sure people at the Super Bowl watched dancing with the stars.

Sorry my brain doesn’t work the same in the morning.

A really lovely person, pity he went instead of Bec! He looked like he enjoyed the experience a lot more than some overseas “celebs” have in the past.

This is where we really miss the public votes because I doubt he would’ve been voted out yet.

However, with the public, you are saved rather than voted out, so he may not have had a big following.
