I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

And in par with the season so far, there is a cliffhanger. We have to wait until Sunday to see the actual elimination trial, and see who leaves.

Me. It felt pretty obvious.

These cliffhangers are ruining the season.

I really don’t like the new elimination. I think they need to stick with the LIVE voting next time

I feel like I’m watching Survivor

Does the watermark imply the Viper Room head to head battle went for 43 minutes before a winner was decided?

Network 10’s year is off and running with its annual reality competition, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, the first of several to underpin its entertainment slate in 2026.

“We’re really happy with the first week, says Tamara Simoneau, Vice President, Content, Paramount Australia. “It’s up on last year, it’s the biggest launch week since 2022 and our streaming numbers are through the roof.”

Last night the show unveiled how campmates will choose which celebrities will battle it out in elimination this season.

“Those bigger decisions come down to the camp mates themselves and then the biggest decision of all, who’s King or Queen of the Jungle, will be public vote. So we don’t know the winner yet. The most important one, and Australia will still get to have a big say in it.”

In last night’s episode, George said to the camera that he would bare his bum on Bourke Street in Melbourne if Dyson did not become a senior AFL coach in the future.

Yuck!

I’m just catching up on the show and up to episode 5. Wow the editing is poor. In camp and at trials, Robert has a bit of a beard and in the studio he’s freshly shaven. I know it’s a small thing but it’s noticeable enough.

Are they trying to make it look like it’s the same day though? Or is it clear that the studio stuff was done later?

I think so?

They just finished the trial with George and Gary and straight back to the studio and Robert’s had a shave.

Robert’s subtle stubble protest at not being live

I don’t think they’re trying to present it as being live: they’ve omitted the live bug with the time (no big deal, most people wouldn’t notice that), they’ve presented multiple days in a single episode (i.e. going to sleep and then waking up), but the biggest thing is that they aren’t pretending that they’re getting votes from somewhere. I think they told the celebrities they had an “algorithm”. Sure, but at least they didn’t say the votes are in.

Something that annoys me is the way they make such a fuss over cliffhangers in every episode. In my opnion it’s not even needed. It’s just so childish and stupid, they way they wriggle around on that damn desk every night. Do we even need to have cliffhangers in I’m A Celeb?

George comes across a bit fake to me, like he is there for the cameras, that whole business ‘im sorry’ story felt a bit staged. All the major outlets picked up the story so 10 would have sent out a media release to the market.

Underpayments in the retail and hospitality land has been an issue since day dot. Swept under the carpet. Looks like it will cost Woolworths nearly $1 billion in total as it’s going through the courts again right now.

George very obviously agreed to do the show to give him a platform to share/promote his side of that story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if part of his contract was that they’d broadcast it and push it to the media.

It wouldn’t need to be in the contract. It’s newsworthy and the producers would be mad if they didn’t include it in the show. The show thrives on controversy so anything to do with a celebrity’s past would be exactly what they want.

One of my favourite parts of the show was the bonding between the contestants. Having them vote for one another will probably ruin that bond. I wish they’d continued with ‘It’s not you’/‘It might be you’. As it stands the person who wins the elimination challenge and gets to stay will no doubt but upset with some of the people who voted for them.

Not a fan of the new eviction process. Starting the show with it (instead of ending the show) was different. And the interview with the evictee was done at night, and not in the usual place. And no footbridge to leave the jungle. And no local dancers dancing them off either.

Rachel Is Dealt A Bad Hand.

Rachel Hunter’s Shock Exit From I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Our first celebrity has walked through the Tunnel of Doom and back out into the real world!

In the very first elimination battle of the season, international supermodel Rachel Hunter went head-to-head with Matt Zukowski for their spot in the camp.

Playing the ultimate game of bluff, Rachel and Matt took turns drawing a card from a deck, revealing either a red or a black card. Their challenge was to persuade their opponent to choose the opposite colour to the card they had drawn.

Unfortunately, Matt was not only an expert at bluffing, but he also managed to work out Rachel’s tell. In a brutal and tense battle, Matt made such quick work of the game that he didn’t even realise he had scored the winning point, sadly ending Rachel’s time in the jungle.

During her time in camp, Rachel thrilled her fellow celebs recounting the stories of her time in the modelling industry and her romance with Rod Stewart.

The beating heart and soul of the camp, she was always there to deliver the most “delicious” compliments to anyone going through a difficult time, leading meditations and, of course, giving Jungle Runway 101 classes to the camp.

And when it came to trials, Rachel was not only ready to get stuck-in and face all sorts of creatures, but after the Jungle Telecommunications trial on her very first day, she wandered down the line thanking each of the animals for their kindness.

Rachel’s time in the jungle was in support of Little Wings, a not for profit that provides free, professional, safe transport services for seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW, ACT and QLD.

While Rachel may not be heading back into the camp, her impact on the celebs will be felt all the way up to the crowning of our King or Queen of the jungle.

Who will it be? And who will be next to face the wrath of the Elephant’s Graveyard?

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Continues Monday, Tuesday And Wednesday At 7.30pm, And Sunday At 7pm.

Watch + Stream Free on 10.

So is the “algorithm” producers choosing who does the trials and face elimination, hence manipulating the show?

Agree whilst some newer reality formats like The Traitors suit cliffhangers the older ones are better off sticking to what has worked for them for so long. Sometimes an exit sets up the next episode better than not revealing the exit.
