Other than covid, that’s the only logic in the show returning to South Africa. If the production cost is cheaper then they’ll go back.
Like you I don’t think it will. Much safer and easier to pre record in Australia.

The article said it was.
I think it’s been reported it is a lot cheaper to film in Africa. I think this is partly because of wages being a lot less in South Africa than australia.
In that article the executive producer said it was cheaper. Their crew labour costs would be way way less than here I’d assume.
I’m a Celebrity to return to 10 in its new timeslot EASTER 2023, LIVE from South Africa. Really looking forward to it being Live again & back in SA. The pre-recorded series was ok, but just didn’t have the same spark IMO.
Be interesting to see how it goes against some competition when normally it has none in Jan…
According to Sunday Herald Sun’s Fiona Byrne, former North Melbourne player and coach Danielle Laidley is understood to have been sounded out by the producers of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here to take part in the upcoming season in South Africa.
Dani could be a really interesting contestant although I’d want them to make sure that there is plenty of support around for the unfortunate level of transphobic comments that will occur.
I wonder how many former Neighbours cast members are also being sounded out. I must say I’d prefer to see some of them rather than reality ‘stars’.
It depends on who else they have competing alongside her…
First promo of the 2023 season aired during the season premiere of The Bachelor tonight, with Eric Carmen’s All By Myself played in the background.
Whats the bet an ex Project member will be on it
This font gives me major TV with a twist vibes…
I tried uploading the teaser to the new season but it seems that Eric Carmen is a blocker and doesn’t allow the song to be used on YouTube. Which is ironic considering the verse is a complete “rip off” of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor Or perhaps it is because he has to pay royalties to Rachmaninoff’s estate for the song??
Doesn’t all music become public domain after a certain amount of time? Or is his music not old enough?
That music was public domain according to US law at the time (now changed) but not elsewhere in the world so it was subject to copyright in all other countries. Also happened to his Never Gonna Fall in Love Again.
Probably could have worked well with Eric Carmen’s Hungry Eyes too. Next year as a follow up.
