Very suss on how they’re targeting ads at me.
I rang AGL to change my electricity and gas plan and suddenly everywhere I look, there are AGL ads targeting me. Made a comment online about solar panels and now I’m flooded with those ads.

You seek advice for that once and you see what happens. 
Well currently for me all of the spots where it says advertisement are currently blank, so I guess my search history is pretty boring

The “TV News and Current Affairs” thread is being fixed tonight - closing some topics with over 10k posts - and starting fresh. A wise idea. Easier to navigate. Keep up the great work @OnAir

I see that OnAir has started three new threads in the TV News and Current Affairs section, covering online offerings across the website and social media platforms of 7News, 9News and 10 News First respectively.

A few tweaks.
@bacco007 can probably explain more - but just about making sure things are in the right place and with digital being such a big presence it made sense to bring them under the one roof.
If anything is out of place as we make the tweaks, let us know. There are probably a couple more to come, but one man can only do so much late on a Friday night

Going to be a pain but One News should probably be 1 News NZ.
Two suggestions with the changes rolling out tonight:

Can there be an archive section (similar to ratings) to lump older threads of News & Current Affairs (Ten archive, Nine archive, Seven archive etc etc.) so we can easily find older threads dating back from 2015

As much as we’d love 10 to be 10 News, can we please rename the Ten News Digital thread Ten News First Digital simply for consistency
It’s got away with having a numeral for too long here. (that’s the style we’ve used for Ten News First, Seven News for consistency for search etc) but I don’t mind having the discussion.

Can’t speak for anyone else obvs but I think you’ve made the right call. It’s consistent and I prefer the wordmark anyway. I wish TVNZ would change it back but that’s probably for the birds.
If it was changed, then that raises the query of whether services like 9News, 10 News First & 7 News (going by their on-air names) should also follow that same train of thought.

Perhaps maybe the ABC News threads (Content and Appearance/Presenters and Reporters) should also start fresh? Cheers.
Debating that - the traffic/post count to those threads is considerably lower than the commercials.
If we are having threads for Seven, Nine, and even 10’s online content, shouldn’t there be one for the ABC?
The ABC has one already and as a long time multi platform broadcaster, they don’t really fall into the space of what 7/9/10 are trying to achieve.
Can we have a new members list, a bit tired of the same ones.
