Hi all,
I personally feel there should be some policy about artificial intelligence being used for mocks.
I get that it’s an exciting technology, but at the same time, AI generators do take art and graphics from artists - that’s how the AI models learn how to generate images after all.
I do appreciate the intention behind the ideas that were posted today on Random Mocks, please don’t the wrong idea from me, however just feel that that AI art should be separated from other mocks.

Should A.I mocks be:
- In a separate thread
- Banned from the site all together
- Allowed to be in the exisitng mock thread’s
- Couldn’t give a stuff about the mock’s in the first place

I had tried to create a seperate thread for it, but it now says it needs moderator approval.
The purpose of the thread is to have AI mocks in their own thread, therefore not clogging it up with normal random mocks.
IIRC they have it on moderator approval to try and stop everyone from creating random threads that only have one or two posts in them, and end up clogging up the section.

How can I view my new topic that’s pending approval? Or do I have to wait before it shows up? I was going to make a small edit to my pending topic but can’t find where to do it. Thanks.
IDK - I’ve never had to do it before as I don’t create threads in that section.

Prior to posting, I had added a disclaimer for if they felt it wasn’t relevant, but I guess that disclaimer addition was unnecessary after running into this moderator approval thing today. Hopefully I’ll be able to remove it now that you need moderator approval for the topic to be created.

But i know you’ve made threads in the past so maybe the reason you need approval is because i’ve already requested a thread.

I think AI art, especially in regards to studio mocks takes away from the hard work @theGradyConnell and @eddel have submitted over the years.
