6 episodes recorded each day starting Friday for approx 2 weeks
Thanks for the behind the scenes photos. Its not often we get to see the “other side”.
On Hot Seat - on air, it looks like the audience is in a “circle”, circling the hot seat/ Eddie Maguire.

Assuming the crew rests on weekends, that means 30 episodes will be produced during the period.
That should be enough to make it to the end of this year.

Wish they would replace those screens, they look ancient!
Which screens? They still look fine to me?
The 4:3 monitors used by Eddie and the contestant. The centre area of the set could look a lot more modern/slick with very little effort.
During the Gold Coast episodes, the “ask the audience” lifeline becomes “ask Eddie”.

ask the host sounds better than ask eddie

Eddie’s ego will go through the roof when he gets an answer correct (in this new lifeline)

According to The Australian yesterday, one Gold Coast episode did not record properly and had to be entirely re-shot. Oh dear. As it turns out in both the taped and blank versions, the last contestants standing left with the default $1000 prize.

Interesting… I assume there were different questions instead of contestants having to give the same answers to the original questions and having to fake their surprise at getting them wrong again!
I assume a different contestant got the $1000 prize in each. And they both kept their prize money.
Would have been an awful situation if a big prize had gone off and the winning contestant not seeing it go to air.

Next week will see new episodes of Hot Seat Monday - Thursday after they originally had no status or episode numbers. Not sure if they will be Queensland ones.

It’s easy to spot the difference. If there is no studio audience, then it is made in Queensland.

They might have cardboard cut out ones… The regular live audience doesn’t make much movement anyway, the lighting above them is also dimmed a bit.
TV Tonight is saying it’s the QLD episodes that’s airing next week.

The second half of ‘Fastest Finger First’ was cut short due to the program being delayed due to Gladys Berejiklian press conference in Sydney.

Just switched it on now… Waiting to hear the fake laughter to one of Eddie’s “jokes”.

A COVID inspired change… contestants go back to their original seat if they pass… no more “moving up one”.
Chairs seem like they are spaced further apart than before.
