Home and Away

Of course not! It’s just that one has come up on the wheel of misfortune they use - remember they also have fires, explosions, robberies, random assaults and car hit and runs!

You forgot hostage situations. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Strap yourself in – Australia’s #1 drama, Home and Away, returns with all the action 7.00pm Monday, 9 August.

After last night’s gripping mid-season final, three lives are left hanging in the balance.

With Dean’s (Patrick O’Connor) car teetering on the edge of a cliff, Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) rouses after being thrown from the wreckage. He uses every bit of strength within him to get to the top of the hill to see if he can find help, but misses a passing car.

Mia (Anna Samson) tries to shake Dean awake but every time she moves, the car wobbles, threatening to go over the cliff at any moment.

Dr. Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) from the Medical Response Unit comes to the rescue, but it’s not looking good for Dean.

In the chaos, Bella (Courtney Miller) worries it’s too late to tell Nikau how she truly feels.

After swearing to Tane (Ethan Browne) that she and Dean are done for good, Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) is confronted by the fact that Dean might not survive, leaving her scared she might lose him for good.

Will Dean make it out alive? Will Bella confess before it’s too late?

The one that got away

It could have been a love story for the ages, but is it too late for one of the Bay’s iconic couples? Answers are on the way when Home and Away returns at 7.00pm Monday, 9 August.

It all started with a kiss in the outback for former couple Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor), but after Ziggy discovered the truth about Dean’s involvement in Ross Nixon’s murder, things ended in heartbreak.

While the couple went their separate ways, their bond still remained.

Dean’s ex Amber (Maddy Jevic) and young son, Jai (River Jarvis), returned while Ziggy began a new romance with Tane (Ethan Browne). But after a kiss, Ziggy and Dean’s story might just have a few pages left.

With Ziggy in a relationship with another man, her and Dean’s kiss at the exhibition is bound to have consequences. Now Dean is involved in a huge car accident, Ziggy’s chance to tell him how she feels is slipping through her fingers.

Will this story end as a Greek tragedy or grand romance? Find out when Australia’s #1 drama, Home and Away , returns at 7.00pm Monday, 9 August.

Life on the line

Australia’s #1 drama returns tonight

Australia’s #1 drama is in for its most thrilling week yet when Home and Away returns 7.00pm tonight on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Filmed on location in and around the Wee Jasper area, South of Yass, Dean (Patrick O’Connor), Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Mia (Anna Samson) find themselves on the edge of a cliff in a tragic car accident.

Determined to save the day, Dr Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) arrives by helicopter before rappelling down to the crash site. Once there, he gives a once over to Nikau and checks Mia, who’s scared something bad has happened to her baby.

In all the chaos, Logan turns his attention to Dean, who has severe injuries.

As the emergency services use the jaws of life to open the car, Logan is in a race against time to save Dean’s life.

Is it too late for Dean? Who will survive? All is revealed this week on Home and Away.

What a terrific opening scene, displaying the words “Home” “and” “Away” on separate scenes with previous footage in between and dramatic music playing!

On another note, is anyone else finding it really hard to get invested in Mia, and also Mia and Ari’s relationship? They both feel like outsiders compared to the rest of the Bay.

Some photos have been circulating online from the crash scene and it’s amazing how the production team pulled it all together. Clearly a lot of money has gone into this storyline and they’ve done a really good job with it.

The kangaroo looked like CGI.

It was someone lying on the road!

The car on the edge of the cliff looked CGI too.

I meant just before they swerved when they look out and see a kangaroo hopping past.

I mean obviously it has to be computer generated.

Interesting. I only saw the bit at the end of the episode.

I thought they might have filmed it in a paddock and added a CGI cliff. Didn’t think it would have been done in a studio with video screens.
