It wasn’t anything that bad. But he was just adamant that it happened when playing up to the crowd and when anyone even started to talk about her side of what happened he seemed to want to shoot it down as he had the facts.

Sonia revealed on The Morning Show today that she was diagnosed with double pneumonia after wrapping up the filming of Big Brother earlier this year. The illness nearly stopped her from travelling to Queensland to film Holey Moley.

If true then a pretty bold move by Seven to get ahead of the Australian Open. Hopefully it pays off.

The australian open and ratings period don’t start until Feb 8, so a January start sounds unnecessarily early, families are still on holidays and not watching tv.
the first few days of the AO never rate that well and could easily be competed against. A Feb 7 start would be perfect; no tennis, likely no MAFS and it is a school night.

I think Holey Moley will be shown at 7pm on main channel in WA on January 31, and after the BBL in other states. I cannot see the BBL being bumped to 7mate for the debut of Holey Moley.

Whilst I agree that BBL should be given top priority, wouldn’t Holey Moley not go to air until like 10:30pm then?
If it‘s not going to air until that late then they may as well wait until Mon 01 Feb.

The story has been updated with a bit of explanation on the launch date as revealed by Seven’s sales department, which looks like it will be Monday 1 Feb.

Launching a new show in the non-ratings period is a bad move by Seven.
Seven launched My Kitchen Rules in the non-ratings period to great ratings success, until the revamped Married at First Sight came about.

Holey Moley is summer fodder for ABC America. It’s a fairly brainless, repetitive format that’s appropriate for that time of year and is unlikely to be a key part of Seven’s lineup into the future. They’ll be lucky to get two or three seasons out of it because the novelty of it will wear off fairly quickly.

And Ninja Warrior is pretty much in the same vein as Holey Moley and it’s still going today so I don’t see the problem.
Not sure why everyone’s so negative about the show. Shouldn’t we be supporting local productions and new formats especially during this pandemic?
