With the grand final on next Monday, that means there were only 10 grand finalists which doesn’t make sense to me. 96 people took part in the heats, and with 8 competing in each heat, there should have been 12 winners who would proceed to the finale. Were there wildcards?
Has Denise Drysdale appeared yet or did they ultimately decide to leave her bits on the cutting room floor?
Denise Drysdale has not appeared yet. She might have been competing in the celebrity version.
Based on the number of episodes that are airing up to the Grand Final, it seems like there are 2-3 episodes filmed that are not part of the usual series. These are probably one off special episodes that 7 will keep in the cupboard to air as filler somewhere. More than likely at least one of them is a celebrity special episode featuring Denise.
Tuesday:
An arresting night of Holey Moley madness - Cop Teresa Thoi comes out on top
Police officer and dragon boat racer, Teresa Thoi, blitzed her opponents with an arresting display of golfing skills to take home the plaid jacket and golden putter on Holey Moley , locking in her spot in the coveted Grand Final.
“I’ve got what it takes to take out the $100,000. I can smell it, see it and feel it. Bring it on!” said Teresa of her win. With great timing, strength and agility, the Queensland police officer was cheered on by her dragon boat teammates, The Thoi Boys.
Teresa may have taken out the win but it was underdog Nathan Pamanter, a disability support worker, who won our hearts. Major wardrobe malfunctions coupled with some epic putting had Nathan on his way to the final putt off after beating some stiff competition from professional golfer, Kristalle Blum.
After duelling Maartje Theunissen on The Distractor, Kristalle made it through to the final round to meet Nathan and Teresa on Uranus. After racking up a third wardrobe malfunction, and battling harder than any other competitor we have seen so far in the competition, Nathan was knocked out leaving Teresa to take the win over Kristalle.

Holey Moley Grand Final Week - 7.00pm Sunday, 7.30pm Monday
This show has become renowned for its toilet humour so I’m not surprised this came up:
Shirvo: She’s taking like a block start position to try and get across to Saturn.
Riggle: Kind of a sprinter’s start. Much like yourself.
Shirvo: Usain Bolt style.
Riggle: Shirvo, you’ve got to tell me. Who’s got the biggest one?
Shirvo: What do you mean?
Riggle: Is it Usain Bolt? Is it Carl Lewis?
Shirvo: (Embarrassed) Ahhh.
Riggle: You’ve been in the locker room… (Whispers) Who’s got the biggest one?
Shirvo: What do you mean?
Riggle: Ego.
Matt smiles and looks away.
It’s a good thing Greg Norman filmed his parts in the USA.
Which parts do you mean?
STILL CAN’T GET OVER THOSE JACKETS!!!
Will This be back for season 2
Im 25-54 it’s rating below The Chase, The Project and Home and Away
I’ve actually enjoyed it more than I expected. I had low hopes and they were slightly exceeded. It’s been a good chill out show to watch while doing other things and to not take any energy and there have been the occasional laughs. I’m actually a little disappointed that I don’t think it’ll be back!
I hope it will be back for season 2. The most important thing is that it should be shown just once per week, and keep it to 60-75 minutes. The second thing is that each hole should have its own set (and course marshal). As I posted previously, 2-3 themed holes share the same water tank, meaning groups of golfers play one particular hole, before it is converted to another hole and more groups play there (e.g. Polcano / Putt the Plank / Hole Number Two). Also, when people play at a themed hole, the lights at the other holes are turned off.
If each hole has its own set (and water hazard if needed), you can have multiple groups playing at once, making it a genuine tournament.
It’s rating below The Chase
It must be costing them about $5 per viewer they are getting
The Chase probably costs .75 cents per viewer
Mostly pensioners in nursing homes but.
@TV.Cynic any idea how The Chase does in 25-54 compared to Holey Moley?
On Monday - The Chase at 5:30pm had 50% of the audience of HM in 25-54; The 5pm portion has 30%.
8 HOLEY MOLEY AUSTRALIA - MON
17 THE CHASE AUSTRALIA
27 THE CHASE AUSTRALIA-5PM
But on Tuesday it was up to 70% and 44% of the audience.
9 HOLEY MOLEY AUSTRALIA - TUE
13 THE CHASE AUSTRALIA
23 THE CHASE AUSTRALIA-5PM
So that averages out at half of the 25-54 audience of HM
Yet I guarantee you the chase would cost one quarter of what HM costs for an hour of TV
Thus, the Chase is delivering double the 25-54 audience of HM per $ spent
Why didn’t they start the year with Big Brother?
Based on the description of the episode released by Seven, the Saturday night episode is a “best of” episode.
Strangely it goes for 90 minutes! Who would have thought there would be so much best of content.
Saturday 20 February at 7pm Holey Moley Australia Road To Glory: Greg Norman Edition
Tonight, we take a break from the gruelling and relentless competition, to reflect on all the moments that were gruelling and relentless… in this best of series special.
I don’t think so. MKR got canned and it was doing better this time last year than Holey Moley is.
