Hit Network

Would someone be able to tell me the name of the song in this video please?

Great nostalgia. Great to see history repeating with, “Melbourne’s Number 1 Hit Music Station” still being heard on The Fox.

Interesting to hear quite a number of digs at K&J and KIIS101.1:

  • $150k Secret Sound (same tactic & prize as KIIS)
  • Every Caller Gets (all week), which is essentially K&J’s You Get A.

Plus I’ve seen teasers about their new bus and what it’ll be used for.

Brand confusion is sure at play between the two… let’s see who does Beat the Bomb first?

It might be something bespoke, but if memory serves, it was done by the Rogue Traders.

Does anybody else feel like the Fifi, Fev & Dave bus could’ve really done with some better design work? Rather than just their names and station logo?

Very bland IMO.

See! So bland that, despite having just their names and station logo, people still don’t know who they are.

To be fair, they’ve been through a few iterations of the Melb breakfast show so understandable to recount a previous lineup.

I think they got lucky with the bus. The bus (and the clothing they were wearing in the original photo of the bus) features in the new add for Fifi, Fev & Nick.

I don’t think they had/have any intention to use the bus beyond the ad - they just thought they’d also use the image when K&J announced their bus. Given that the bus was only going to be in an ad for a few seconds, they kept the design simple.

Good promo.

I agree. Good promo by The Fox. Good angle - obviously being local as.

WELCOME TO MELBOURNE’S BIGGEST PARTY! THE FOX’S NO. 1 FM BREAKFAST SHOW LAUNCHES NEW AD CAMPAIGN

Melbourne’s no. 1 FM Breakfast show, Fifi, Fev & Nick, is inviting listeners to join Melbourne’s biggest party in a new campaign that reinforces the trio’s strong connections with the hearts and minds of Melburnians.

The ‘Melbourne’s Biggest Party’ campaign brings to life the energy, fun and excitement of being a part of the show by listening to Fifi, Fev & Nick on The Fox.

Featuring a pimped up stretch limo, the trio rocking motorbikes and leathers and a party bus, with real listeners joining the party, the multi-million dollar campaign will run across TV, BVOD, cinema, socials, digital audio and out-of-home.

The commercial was filmed across multiple locations in Melbourne and aims to reinforce The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick as the city’s no. 1 FM Breakfast show. The soundtrack to the campaign is the ARIA-nominated dance track People Happy by up-and-coming Aussie producers KLP and Stace Cadet.

This year, Fifi, Fev & Nick are taking the show to every corner of Melbourne with its popular ‘Brekky in the Burbs’, bringing the biggest stars to the suburbs – from Steven Sanchez live from Sunbury, Delta Goodrem in Pakenham, Amy Shark in Mornington, The Wiggles in Epping to Guy Sebastian in Ringwood - and giving away massive prizes to Melburnians.

SCA Head of Hit Metro Content and The Fox Content Director, Amanda Lee, said: “Fifi, Fev & Nick have such a strong heritage in Melbourne and a deep connection and love for their audience. ‘Brekky in the Burbs’ has been the perfect way to further connect with their audiences on the ground. The team is Melbourne through and through and we know our listeners love the energy and fun they bring to Breakfast and this campaign reinforces our strong position here.”

SCA Head of Consumer Marketing, Naomi Gorringe, said: “Fifi, Fev & Nick on The Fox is the antidote to the daily grind and seriousness of the world. For three hours every weekday morning, listeners can escape the mundane and their worries and jump into a place where it’s pure fun and frivolity.

“This campaign brings that energy to life with Melbourne’s biggest party and a soundtrack to match. It is a great way to celebrate Melbourne’s most listened to radio show.”

The campaign, which went to air last night, can be viewed here:

A bit sad if they’re not going to use the bus for anything other than the ad.

Mind you - we are yet to hear if/when K&J will broadcast from the K&J bus in Melbourne anytime soon.

… For a station claiming to have Melbourne’s Biggest Party, the bus still IMO looks boring from the outside …

Interesting that Hughesy has popped up on Triple M Melbourne’s Rush Hour (a two-week fill for Billy Brownless), at the same time rumours are rife that 2Day breakfast is set for a change…

like a new team, or just a reconfiguration of the current team with someone else?

Different team entirely, I’m hearing.

Surprisingly (to me at least), it’s not Mike E & Emma.

I’m surprised it’s not Mike E & Emma taking over 2Day breakfast too - their commencement of a 9-11am show on 2Day in January to me felt like an eventual move for them to take over brekky

So does Hughesy host from Melbourne?

I think he does sometimes host from Melbourne - saw a TikTok from Fifi, Fev & Nick last year, where he was featured in the elevator, and he was asked “aren’t you supposed to be in Sydney?”

Awkward if that’s coming from Hughesy’s SCA colleagues.

I wonder who could be the new 2DayFM breakfast team?

Surprising if they are not considering Mike E & Emma. Maybe they’re sticking with their Hot AC format and not returning to CHR/Top 40?
