Hit Network

Pink in Paris. SMS code word entry mechanic.

Well done to the Hit Network for further attempting to localise it with the local text numbers.

Good to see localised SMS numbers.

It’s still a shame they don’t have local studio phone in numbers anymore though. National 13 or 1300 numbers just don’t float my boat!

I prefer the 0055 numbers myself.

Why does that not surprise me!

They must be paying you pretty well to afford those calls.

I haven’t rung any of those numbers in years, if ever.

Pity there’s not a: 0475 75 1009…

I don’t think they exist anymore. It went from 0055 to 1900 to OnlyFans

Hobart do have a local SMS number 0499 36 1009, it’s just not being used for this competition according to the website.

BBC Radio 2 and Mix94.5 just shared a conversation during Pete Matt & Kymba, and the OJ Borg Midnight show!

Just did the Mix VIP survey this week and they were asking about RnB Friday’s (hopefully a sign they are considering a change). Does anyone else feel it needs a break? It’s a bit long in the tooth now!

Mix94.5 should bring back Blue Light Friday! That was loved by Perth!!

Would that be like 80s disco type music… like the old Blue Light discos?

Blue Light Friday was terrible, and doesn’t fit the station’s format anymore. That being said, yes RnB Fridays needs a break too.

Surely there’s other music feature concepts they can do, which won’t alienate a heap of their listeners. :man_shrugging:t2:

The stations format actually hasn’t changed that much?? Still play lots of 80s music, they just play more of the current hits. Would actually fit more than RnB Fridays which is completely different.

I mean, unless they are considering dumping RnB Fridays across the entire network, it would probably be jarring for Mix to dump it during non-networked hours, and then suddenly having all this RnB from 3pm onwards when the networked shows start…

I did notice last Friday that RnB Fridays wasn’t on during Carrie & Tommy…

interesting, maybe they are planning on phasing out RnB Fridays…
