The WA post linked to had a post date of “Feb 1” tho
Mix94.5, SAFM, Hit Hobart and Hit Central Coast came out yesterday afternoon (16 hours ago).
GWN7 story on Ben Carney and Nathan Bongiovanni’s national show.
Dan & Maz. They already had a huge social media following from when they did drive and weekends.
I really hope SCA keeps Maz on board in some capacity once her maternity cover wraps up.
There was a 2DAY FM Morning Crew TVC during Friday’s main evening news programme on Nine. (I think, or it could’ve been during the footy)
Not sure if other stations are taking part…but B105 on Thursday will be doing a “Showtunes Countdown” from 9am.
Vote for your favourite show stoppers from musicals like Chicago, The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Hamilton – and many, many more!
Sounds like something that should be on 2CH.
Sounds a bit naff to me, well I won’t be listening.
It’s a lockdown special
Sounds like an April Fools joke to me.
This clip confirms that Carrie and Tommie is live, and is broadcast from a studio at 10 in Melbourne.
(You can see the 10 logo and offices in the background, through the door.
I had wondered why they weren’t in the main Fox studio now that they’re the only drive show
Yeah same.
They’ve always broadcast from the “broom cupboard” at Ten Melbourne due to Carrie’s Project commitments.
Congratulations to Ash London, who has announced that she is expecting her first child in October.
So the 2DayFM breakfast show has slumped in today’s ratings.
This is what I suspect they need to do and do fricken fast as it has been an issue for most of the last six years:
- The show should be broadcast from Sydney
- No one in front of a mike or in the studio should laugh out loud unless something funny is said. Laughter should be spontaneous and not scripted
- The hosts should not talk over each other
- If no one has anything to say then play a song
- Stop hiring big names and choose some talent
- Create billboards for the show that don’t involve the hosts pulling funny faces
- Think about pulling the plug on the current show now. These slow year long deaths are too much to bear
Mostly importantly, list everything you have done for the past six years and stop doing it. Give the hosts and producers the freedom to create great radio that is not from your outdated SCA rule book. Bin the rule book.
I don’t understand why they screwed with the Hughesy and Ed show (from Drive) and turned it into such a mess (from what it sounds like?).
Should’ve kept the same formula but altered it slightly for the Sydney market.
Have the producers changed along with the on air talent over the years?
That would be interesting to know. The shows do sound the same.
In my opinion the worst was Rove and Sam. Next was Grant Denyer. The third worst was the first show with the nine hosts and one of the Spice Girls who was in LA, London or some other foreign land. It also featured Merrick Watts screaming between 6 - 9am. Bonus. Hughesy is fourth worst. Em and Ed was fifth.
Dan and Maz may have worked if the producers had left the studio.
I am not including Jamie Angel’s music show as it might have worked if the music was right.
