I believe Mix106.3 and FM104.7 in Canberra were the first FM licences outside the major cap cities (in February 1988). Sea FM Gold Coast came a year later (March 1989) and TTT Hobart came along in July 1990.
I was including Canberra as a capital
Pete, Matt and Kymba will be presenting breakfast on Mix 94.5. Pete used to be on Drive before a stint on sister station 92.9
The positioner on the Mix website has changed from âPerthâs Greatest Hitsâ to âSongs You Love From Then to Nowâ, just like the rest of the Hit Network.
Mix 945 still using old website
Slight change to the Hit Network today.
They are now positioned as âHits you love from then to nowâ.
As opposed to âsongs you love from then to nowâ.
The now playing text on 94.5âs DAB currently shows âXavier, Pete and Julezâ, despite it actually being Clairsy, Matt and Kimba, which seems to back up the post that 94.5 and 92.9 swapped studios.
Edit: the Mix website is showing the regional WA Hit presenters, Allan and Michelle. Some gremlins still in the works.
It appears 2Day have officially returned to being a hit music station today.
Obviously the plan was a slow return to hit music format?
Clairesy, Matt and Kymba making a big deal of the new phone number this morning.
Tommie and Carrie on the show now.
Other than the imaging changes - Mix doesnât sound all that different so far? Are they going to phase it in?
Playing Rihanna - We Found Love. Havenât heard that on the station before.
I donât think it sounds all that different at the moment because Clairsy, Matt and Kymba are still using the old Triple M jingle (you know, the âI said, waaaaaaake up Peeeerth. Clairsy, Matt & Kymba in the Morningâ). Wait until the workday starts and weâll be able to hear a difference.
Whoever is on air right now doesnât sound very Mix either
Rohan Edwards from B105
Itâs Rohan Edwards from B105 in Brisbane, because theyâre doing the Keith Urban takeover.
The Keith Urban takeover only last 30 mins.
NOW FM Moree beat 7TTT to air as it was May 19 1990
