Lehmo to spend more time in Adelaide after borders open
'I'm so happy the station's back as SAFM.'
3MA FM became Sun FM then Triple M.
Sun FM was thus in use at the same time as Star FM, thus it could have been a bit confusing with two stations sharing similar names.
Some more of the new Network branding for Those Two Girls and Tom and Olly;

good to see Hit pushing smart devices. they have a page in how to listen to stations via alexa, google home and homepod
Noticing the regional Hits playlists are starting to skew older, 80’s tracks now being thrown in to the mix of 90’s and 2000’s.
The relaunch of B105 has got Nova 106.9 scared, they are now at times breaking from the Sydney playlist.
I like the new look and also the new app, very slick and current.
I listen to Fox Dance all day when I am working, have been for months. The playlist hardly changes, but the music is great none the less…
Notice it does go though a bit of an identity crisis during the day…
You will hear it say “Fox Dance” then other times will say “Hit Dance” and sometimes the ads will glitch and you will hear “2Day Dance” and then it will go back to saying “Fox Dance”
Yes. I think the relaunch of B105 will have 97.3 scared also. Had a listen to B105 today and it sounds so much fresher than 97.3. Let’s face it a lot of current 97.3 listeners were past B105 listeners so if they promote it enough many will return.
I actually wonder whether this might encourage a rethink at ARN regarding the KIIS “network”. I mean does ARN really want to take on B105 and SAFM head on with their wishy-washy 97.3 and Mix 102.3 stations? Might it encourage them to move 97.3 and Mix 102.3 to the Pure Gold network instead and steal some Triple M audience in Brisbane and Adelaide? They can always go national with KIIS on DAB anyway.
I just think a Pure Gold FM network in all 5 capitals makes more sense than the disjointed KIIS network (including 96FM), especially when they’ll face an uphill battle against the new HIT network now.
I agree. Sure it might mean losing some younger listeners to Nova/Hit, but the average age of radio listeners are only getting older and if the experience of Sydney & Melbourne is anything to go by, a Pure Gold (or Smooth, not that Nova will ever be brave enough to do that on FM everywhere) station would probably be a top rating one in most markets.
Agreed, a Pure Gold network is more sustainable long term nationally and keep KIIS in markets where they can and it makes sense
Yeah agree. I think a Pure Gold 97.3 or Smooth 97.3 would be No. 1 in Brisbane. The re-vamped B105 would be up there too. Those two stations would probably pull away from Nova and Triple M in my opinion.

Hit96.1 Mount Gambier rebranding to SAFM too…
I wonder how that would go down with its listeners on the other side of the border in Victoria!
Can’t imagine there’d be much overspill into VIC from 96,1 SAFM in terms of population centres that isn’t served by MIXX
The rebrand of Mt Gambier to SAFM would surely make things difficult if/when taking the regional network feed.
Not unless they adopt the 13 10 60 number and take a feed direct from SAFM Adelaide.

Finally they got rid of that horrible H logo that looked like the Honda Logo from the 1970s.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that thought of Honda every time I saw it.
Really good mix of music. They’ve dialed back the rock and urban, which is a nice change. I’m guessing R&B Fridays are gone (thankfully). The packaging is quite generic with them just saying “Hit” rather than “Hit100.3”. It’s sounding really fresh though.
It’s weird actually, I’m pretty certain Hit104.7 in Canberra was running the same music log today, but they still had all the old “Hits & Old Skool” sweepers on air.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that thought of Honda every time I saw it.
I always thought it looked like a hotdog.
