Their homebrew segment this evening also fit this new somewhat controversial Tim Minchin number amongst their usual playlist (not one for those with religious sensitivities):
Thought it was interesting choice, though not totally inappropriate I guess (in the ‘local’ context at least)

According to the following station’s Facebook page, i98 in Wollongong was playing Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” album in its entirety after 5pm yesterday (Friday), perhaps to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the album’s release.

Triple M Sydney just played the 12 inch version of the Model’s “Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight”.
The regular 7 inch single version of that song gets a bit of an airing on the Ms, but it’s been a long while since they’ve played the 12 inch version of any song.

Another one on the Ms- “Unpublished Critics” from Australian Crawl’s Sirocco album! Wow, I’ve never heard that on commercial radio before.
Wayward Son by Kansas on Triple M Brisbane today 
Its all part of "the sound of vinyl " promotion running on triple M at the moment.
They play usually 2 tracks off an album(complete with crackle and pops),
Its also playing on MMM classic rock which is adding Nirvana to the mix.
Heard a 12" of INXS a week ago and thought wow also.
Wow, which INXS song was that?
Pity it’s not a return to a full album rock format as in the 80s, but good on them for doing the promotion anyway.

yeah but on i98, which is a station you’d expect it to appear on occasionally - but KO? It sounded really good on KO which is scary.
Max FM Taree (heard it via Lui’s USTREAM) played that song this morning as part of it’s “Rewind at 9” segment.

If you can recieve MMM Classic Rock they play an entire album each weekday at 11am.Yesterday was Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys,today was LA Woman by the doors.
Billy Joel- Allentown, 7BU today.
I would assume that it’s also heard on 7AD, which shares the same playlist as 7BU. Also, I would imagine that Northern Tasmania has better commercial radio stations than Hobart, as 7HO & Heart would be musically similar to each other, with the latter using the same playlist as heard on 2GO, KO, Gold FM etc.
