Super stuff that!
Yep I heard it too. Great song.
The only other station I ever recall hearing it on was Stereo 10
ARN regional Retro 20/20 Countdown tonight
Right Here Right Now - Jesus Jones
Donât Stop Me Now - Queen
Itâs All Over Now Baby Blue - Graham Bonnett
Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C&C Music Factory
Iâve Got To Go Now - Toni Childs
Donât Go Now - Ratcat
Now Youâre In Heaven - Julian Lennon
Theme: âNowâ songs
And on Triple M, during the Classic 9 At 9 they played
Let The Night Roll On - The Angels
And according to Lava, they played Slim Dustyâs âA Pub With No Beerâ during the GOAT countdown today too.
I still remember the outcry when âDuncanâ made MMMâs Essential 2005. That countdown basically ushered in the Jack FM era of the Ms.
Jack FM merely followed Jamminâ Oldies and other such imported Yank things â PAMS jingles in the 1960s AM Top 40 years and also Hot Hits 3XY?
Donât Give Up - Peter Gabriel & Kste Bush
Currently playing on Triple M Nights With Dave Gleeson.
But also an odd song choice for Triple M.
Could be worse. They could have played the version done by Shannon Noll and Natalie Bassingthwaite.
Oh yes, there are ALOT worse songs, the Shannon/Nat version isnât too bad by cover standards imo. Not as good as the original of course.
Journey- Separate Ways now on the Rebel. Itâs good to hear something different from them.
I love that song
I always hated the Sopranos
Really love hearing songs from Journeyâs discography other than âDonât Stop Believinââ which still gets played a lot on radio stations internationally outside the US (other than Steve Perryâs âOh Sherrieâ).
The only reason why the former song got a huge amount of airplay internationally nowadays is from the infamous series finale of The Sopranosâ âMade in Americaâ which aired in 2007 alongside Glee which premiered two years later. Although the first time I heard âDSBâ was on the Season 4 episode of Family Guy titled âDonât Make Me Overâ which aired two years before the Sopranos finale.â
Ah, didnât know that⌠so thatâs what @mullauna was referring to thenâŚ
Thanks for that info re The Sopranos and Journey. Iâve always thought it was the Glee cover that suddenly sparked interest in âDonât Stop Believinâ; you only ever heard âOh Sherrieâ before the late noughties.
Journey have a lot of great AOR songs- âGirl Canât Help Itâ is my favourite.
Same Old Girl by Darryl Cotton on Sunshine FM
They also played Year of the Cat - wish some of Al Stewartâs other songs got played more.
Tonight on Triple M Nights with Dave Gleeson
8:50pm: âSex on Fireâ by Kings of Leon
Smallzyâs Surgery
9:35pm: âBlack Magicâ by Little Mix. I used to love this song a lot in 2015!
Love in Motion - Icehouse on Triple Mâs Homegrown program last night.
They need to play a certain Song On The Radio, indeed, but months and years- many Time Passages- will expire before you hear those ones on commercial radio.
Tonight on:
Triple M Nights with Dave Gleeson
7:18pm: âBeautiful Dayâ (Live) - U2
9:09pm: âUndisclosed Desiresâ by Muse
@dxnerd I didnât hear you on BRW this afternoon?
Whoever it was on put together an appropriately themed playlist, though it went on for a bit too long. Did hear some good rarer tunes though.

Twilight Zone â Golden Earring
Time Warp â Rocky Horror Show Cast
The Witch Queen Of New Orleans â Redbone
Eye Of The Zombie â John Fogerty
Youâre The Devil In Disguise â Elvis Presley
Evil Ways â Santana
