Not wanting to steal @dxnerd’s thunder, but it’s now on 5-7pm Thursdays.
Thanks! The web page has “Sixties in Australia” in that timeslot.
A song that recently re-arisen in popularity due to its appearance in the Amazon Prime Video movie “Saltburn.”
Heard on internet radio between 6-7 pm today, i heard the following 2 gems
Stars On 45 - Stars on 45
That Ain’t Bad - Ratcat
I know of at least one member that can guess where i heard this!
Yes, now 5-7 Thursdays.
And @TV-Expert , you didn’t steal my thunder, though it is Thor’s Day after all
Glad you enjoyed those two. The Tingles EP was one of my first music purchases at only 4 and a half years old, still love it as much as I did then.
I’ll post the full log over on the logs thread.
Stars On 45 - Stars on 45
My work plays this on the instore radio pretty regularly, to the point that I know the order of songs in the medley. https://youtu.be/PFVpPil_-aA?si=26vJgHMUDZR9NbIs
Edit: it’s the 12 inch version that goes for around 9 mins, not the radio edit that just has Beatles songs.
On the regional version of Triple M’s Awesome 80’s Friday via MMM Newcastle 102.9 I heard another three great songs.
More Than This - Roxy Music
Take it on The Run - REO Speedwagon
Big Love - Fleetwood Mac
You know how you never hear some songs for ages then suddenly they appear more than once in quick succession?
Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight. Not exactly a radio staple but heard from time to time. Rebel FM played on breakfast (yes, before 9am) yesterday which was a little of a surprise. Then FM104 (sorry, 4MMM) played it this afternoon in their Awesome 80s day.
Reckon it might have been a year or two since I heard it last, then twice in two days. Funny how that happens sometimes.

Great song. Always takes me back to a certain time in my life that one. I also like I Wanna Go Back from Eddie also.

I definitely remember hearing that song on FM 104 in the 80s,when I wasn’t listening to Stereo 10😊
Billy Joel,”Turn the Lights Back On” ,his latest hit ,on 4BH .
I might be wrong, but is it about 30 years ago that he last released new music, “River of Dreams” album, back in 1993
Actually it was “Christmas in Fallujah” that was his last original song which was released in 2007.

All seven minutes plus of it. Don’t think I’ve heard this one on mainstream radio before.
Woolworths played Hazard by Richard Marx and I’m Like a Bird by Nelly Furtado.
