I heard these songs on The Breeze this morning :
Emeli Sande ,”Clown” great singer ,not played on many stations
De Barge , “Rhythm of the Night “
Mental as Anything, “Spirit got Lost”,it’s great to hear a hit from the Mentals that isn’t , “Live it Up “ or “The Nips are Getting Bigger “
The Breeze also played this morning,
“Mexican Girl “ by Smokie, yes most folks think their only hit was”Living Next Door to Alice “,ie: Who the F**k is Alice?”
A new cover/sample version of Stumblin’ In is getting a lot of airplay on radio in Germany at the moment. It will probably start getting airplay here soon.
I just heard it on a Top 40 countdown on Antenne Bayern, the song is the Suzi Quattro and Chris Norman original vocals with a bit of additional back beat and finger clicking added to it.
After doing some googling I’m sure it will get airplay here as it may meet the Australian content requirements, the DJ doing the remix (Cyril The Producer) is from regional NSW and now living in Darwin.
Just recently on Nights with Dave Gleeson via Triple M Newcastle 102.9 is Ashes to Ashes by Faith No More from “Album of the Year” their last album before their disbandment in 1998 and their 2009 reunion. Charted at 8 on the Aria charts in 1997 and trust me this should get more airplay than their cover of “Easy” these days.
