Triple M have good taste in 80s music.
Rain on the scarecrow, blood on the plow

Two from The Breeze today:
Mondo Rock ,âChemistry â
Jimmy Barnes, âWhen youâre Love Has Gone â,with his children on backup vocals .
this one hardly gets played ,most stations play his more flogged to death hits like(Yes ,Triple Mđ) ,âAinât no Mountain High Enough â,âWorking Class Manâ or âNo Second Prizeâ
Otherwise known as âThe Tin Lidsâ. They had a very minor hit with a cover of âWalk The Dinosaurâ (Was, Not Was).
They were very young back then in 1991 ,yes they were known as the Tin Lids
Heard the 12" version of Icehouseâs Crazy today on 4MMM, again quite the pleasant surprise
Agree, I LOVE a good 12 incherâŚ. they played the Crazy 12â on Triple M Sydney on the Flock of 80s Friday on 18/11 too ⌠see my post further above.
Thats What She Said ⌠but yes:
It is a great song!
Under Attack / ABBA
Crash Boom Bang / Roxette
Today on Breeze
Up at Nelson Bay for a night
2RE Taree played these gems on the way up
True Blue - Madonna (an overlooked Madonna classic)
Have You Ever Seen The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
As a side note, they also played Wolfmotherâs âJoker And The Thiefâ which must have been a bit jarring for those John Lawsâs tragics.
A tribute to the severe thunderstorms across SEQ last night?
Lol perhaps.
Heard a couple of good tunes last night on Great Lakes FM
Miss Divine - Icehouse
Donât Go - Ratcat
Koool Digital:
Up Rock - Rock Steady Crew
Holiday Road - Lindsay Buckingham
Mi Sex- Down The Line
GN FM/Forever Classic â80s TGIFâ last night.
Also heard Cheetah- Spend The Night.
Some good ones today and tonight
Deeper Water - Deadstar (on 2NSB 99.3 Chatswood)
Wild Horses - Gino Vanelli (on 105.3 NEW FM)
Slave - James Reyne (on Triple M Homegrown just after 10pm).
Obseesion - Animotion (on 100.3 2MCR Campbelltown).
Now this next one isnât necessarily a great song, but I have not heard it on the radio since 1987 hence the rarity so I just had to post this somewhere!
Male Stripper - Man 2 Man Meets Man Parrish (also on 2MCR).
Chocolate Cake - Crowded House
Was surprised to hear this one on Triple M 90s this morning!
Chocolate Cake - Crowded House
This came out in 1991 (off Woodface) and whenever I went to a birthday party as a little kid I always said âCan I have another piece of chocolate cake?â (please).
I always found it amusing that they were singing about chocolate cake.
Itâs worth singing for!
Whilst i do like it, i donât eat much of it.
I remember the DJ at Sun FM Shepparton saying âslicing up another piece of Chocolate Cake, that was Crowded House!â
Ross Wilson - Bed Of Nails
The Black Sorrows - Daughters Of Glory
