Great songs heard on radio

I’m assuming Rebel are the only station in Australia to acknowledge the existence of Five Finger Death Punch? (who are absolutely massive in America… the sort of band Triple M should be flogging to death)

Great list. Forgotten that inxs song. Love Maxine. Sharon O’Neill is criminally underplayed on Radio in this country.

I 110% agree. I think Breeze is the only OZ station that plays this NZ gem.

Yep. It gets an occasional spin on 4KQ but yes Breeze is the main one. Breeze also plays a few others of Sharon occasionally

I 110% agree also. FFDP is very popular here in Australia also. It shows how boring and safe our Rock station are in Australia except Rebel of course.

This song would be a great fit with Smooth and Triple M Soft Rock. Australia radio stations need to look outside the box a bit more.

I suppose Triple M don’t want to be in Bad Company with a Rebel.

Current Stand - Kids In The Kitchen.

Now playing on Triple M Melbourne, as part of the same ‘Aussie Bangerz’ weekend. I have heard this one a couple of times recently, which I have no problem with.

I also heard Breakaway by Big Pig this morning.

When I am driving on Southern Cross Drive and all the stations are having an ad break. In desperation I try Triple M and they are playing Pseudo Echo’s Listening.

The best three minutes and eleven seconds of my Sunday so far. Thanks Triple M.

Whilst driving, I heard one song played on ABC radio - Killing Heidi - Weir. This song gives me nostalgia back in the early days.

I also meant to add that last night Triple M also played on their “Saturday Night Live” program this rarely played gem from the early 90s:

Someone’s Singing New York - Ghostwriters

A real Mechie Show classic. I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard it on commercial radio. Looks like the Ms are improving.

And they played it this afternoon about 15;45 with digby again

Not sure what this songs called exactly or who sings it.The first line is
“I’m on the Drug that killed River Phoenix”, I remember this one well from the mid 90s because a guy I worked with used to sing it all the time.Used to work evening shift then and would have heard it on the Hot 30 evening show on B105
Heard on Triple M today
