Gogglebox Australia

I agree, there definitely needs to be a bit more variety in the selection of programs reviewed as the last few seasons have been very reality-centric.

As controversial as this suggestion may be, it’s probably also time to move on from all households who’ve been part of the show since 2015/16 in favour of some fresh talent. And no, I don’t want more painfully obvious attempts at replicating the dynamics of previous households as the case has been with the last four new additions to Gogglebox Australia.

I think a mid-year season of Gogglebox would be good for something for a change.

Certainly it was pretty boring having MAFS reviews during most weeks of the season that was on earlier this year. Meanwhile some of 2021’s most review-worthy TV programs have aired while Australia’s most famous viewers were MIA, in contrast to the post-Olympics programming lineups which are looking rather grim across all networks.

Season 14 of Gogglebox from Wed 8 September on Lifestyle / Thu 9 September on 10.

So have they ditched the celeb version then?
I was sure they said it was going to be sandwiched between the originals

This likely means for the first time ever on gogglebox Australia, they’ll be reviewing Big Brother

Why do I get the feeling that this upcoming season of Gogglebox is going to be incredibly boring?

Most of this years really review-worthy programs/events (LOTS: Season 2, Weakest Link, Beauty & The Geek, Olympics, Hendo’s death…just to name a few) have happened during the months Australia’s most famous TV viewers were MIA, while it seems there’s not much for them to look forward to in September/October.

Nonsense.

There will be the final season of Wentworth, Five Bedrooms. The Masked Singer, Big Brother, The Cheap Seats, The Hundred, Back to the Rafters plus content from plenty of streaming services.

They would not be able to react to the Olympics @SydneyCityTV - rights issues.

Fair point on that one, but didn’t they try attempt to review some Olympic news (without necessarily showing any footage from the events) in 2016?

The Masked Singer, the Voice, the Block, that Australian then and now show, hacks, etc…

Probably Making It will be on air as well by then as well. So plenty of content to review and take the piss out of

Correct! Seems like I’m in the minority who thought it was more interesting than what went on during MAFS 2021.

Hardly anyone’s heard of it.

Season 1 was featured on Gogglebox. MAFS is a show they can take the piss out of.

Let’s not forget streaming, I’m sure Five bedrooms on Paramount might make an appearance…

You would have if you watched Gogglebox. Which is the thread we are in.

Lots of shows appear on Gogglebox. You can’t expect someone to remember one show shown once or twice on Gogglebox which has been airing for a number of years now.

Congrats to you if you remember every single program featured on every single episode ever.

My god. Ok.
