So it was just a normal episode of Gogglebox last night with other shows also reviewed.

Up to the first break the reviews were about the royal interview, and three follow up programs. Then it was back to normal.

This week’s show is bloody brilliant even if MAFS got another run. More topical and off beat programming was reviewed. Makes a big difference when it isn’t the same thing week after week. Will have to rewatch it, however. Emily Silbery’s “you’d choke” comment had me doubled over in a fit of laughter during the last review.

Hopefully they review Fisk next week.

Filming for Gogglebox varies from week to week, with the trio never told in advance what they will be wtching.

“It just depends on what’s in season, I think. Sometimes they throw in a movie which I struggle with, because I naturally fall asleep when I watch TV.

The final episode of MAFS made it to tonight’s season 11 finale, as well as the first episode of MasterChef and Lego Masters of the season.
I wish the season extends by one week so we can see Goggleboxers’ reactions to the result of Dancing with the Stars: All Stars grand final.

I guess people will know the celebs but can it do as well as the normal Gogglebox or dilute the brand… I’d rather they have more eps of the traditional one.

The Celeb version works reasonably well in the UK - the US one was a shambles.

Given that the regular version of Gogglebox has been a bit flat (save for a few stand-out reviews) over the past few seasons, I reckon the celebrity version is gonna be the beginning of the end…especially since we know that ex-reality stars and social media influencers are likely to be part of this.

Celeb Gogglebox UK seems to do fine along with their regular seasons. Not sure why the local celeb version wouldn’t work either.

As long as it’s not produced like the dreadful American version then we should be fine.

They could get Angie and Yvie back now.

We need some real bitchy people who don’t care what they say. The Uk version has reality stars, singers, soapie actors etc…

Maybe Em Rusciano, Christian Hull, Jimmy Rees. The Corby sisters.

I always said they should try and poach the Fren family from Travel Guides as they wont be traveling any time soon.
