There’s zero chance Disney does a deal with Stan or Foxtel or whoever. They are one of the largest media companies in the world and have a gigantic library that people will gladly pay less than ten bucks a month for.
Zero chance you say? I wouldn’t be so sure about that lets take Netflix that a huge sod company and now Netflix will let foxtel stream it’s content in an upcoming new iq4 I would say foxtel could do the same with Disney and ask Disney to have the disney+ service running on it’s iq4

There actually a lot of talk at the moment that the next update for the iq4 could be pretty big and may even include Netflix. I’m surprised no ones brought it up yet.
It WILL include Netflix. Not sure were you’ve been but it was announced a month or 2 ago.

I have to move out of my Surry Hills apartment for the next few months. I rang up Foxtel to suspend the service. What a debacle.
Initially I was told my service could be suspended but I would still have to pay for it - I just would not be able to access the service. Why the f*** would this even be an option?
I then fought for 15 minutes trying to explain the uselessness of their plan. I was eventually able to have the plan suspended (without needing to pay) for one month.
I am thus going to cancel my subscription when this month is up and make the move to Netflix.
I have been with Foxtel since 2003. You would think I could ring up and suspend the service for 2 months. I thought my phone call would be about 2 minutes in length.
Instead I wasted about 20 minutes of time begging for a two month suspension and was only given one month.
This is call centre service at its absolute worst. Forget the quality of the content on Foxtel. If you stuff up the one phone call a customer makes in 16 years - you lose that customer.

Lol what did you expect, of course you would still have pay for it ,your suspending it not cancelling it. It’s like with any service it’s it’s a suspended you still have to pay

Why bother suspending it if you still have to pay?
The definition of suspend is stop. Therefore stopping the service means you cannot use it therefore you stop paying.

Foxtel from Telstra also says that if they’re on a contract, the contract will be extended by the amount of months the service was suspended for, which for obvious reasons makes sense.

Americans can pause a Hulu streaming service subscription for up to twelve weeks and payment ceases from the start of the billing cycle. You can also cancel a Netflix subscription and reactivate it when ready.
If Foxtel had tried to feed that bullshit to me I would’ve told them to cancel the service then and there. I understand it is difficult to adjust to losing something you’ve had for so long but there are other options for entertainment now. Foxtel would do well to wake up and realise they have competition now and can’t afford to treat loyal customers with such disdain.

It’s like any membership or subscription service. I’m away for 2 months and my gym is allowing me to suspend my membership for 2 months. That saves me money as well as adding that two months into the contract period.

Jason - I feel like I am in a Seinfeld episode with you and you don’t understand the meaning of the word “suspend”. When I have travelled overseas I have suspended my gym membership at Anytime Fitness with complete ease. HCF is never a problem. As is Lite N’Easy food delivery. Imagine them not delivering food but still paying. NRMA car insurance? Easy.
But Foxtel was so frustrating as to make me hate the company.
Thanks Sifon. I had read that I could suspend the service and that’s why I rang. Foxtel should advise anyone that calls them of the Lifeline phone number. I certainly needed counselling after the call.
