They did have one before didn’t they?
I wouldn’t be shocked if it was produced by Supercars which tend to cover up the issues within the sport.
Not sure if this is the right thread.
How is it possible to have a feed like this? (From ABC’s live blog of Bathurst 1000 - for the record, all their other caps of Fox feed was like this)
Don’t think it’s a Fox issue. Feels like an ABC ingest/internal system issue.
Wrong. You have to look closely.
Timing for the rest of the night consists of 20-minute mini-replays and 1-hour condensed replays. That’s it.
I’m pretty sure every year they have had the channel it either goes back to normal the next morning or at midnight so this is normal.
Fox US will simulcast Nine’s coverage of Victoria Derby Day this Saturday.
It begins 3pm (SiriusXM 83) or 3:30pm AEDT (FS2) and ends when Nine ends.
Don’t expect them to pick this up, let alone cross-coverage. But better to have access than not.
And if you wonder, no simulcast on Melbourne Cup Day.
They had coverage last year
But still not the main day, right?
Pretty weird they masquerade the Saturday before as the Cup itself.
I’m sure they had all 4 days from memory.
I could be wrong but last year didn’t they show it and they had it on a channel called Fox Racing?
EPG just updated a couple hours ago and all 4 days will be shown live.
- VIC Derby Day: Saturday 3.30pm FS2
- Cup Day: Tuesday 1.30pm FS2
- Oaks Day: Thursday 3.30pm FS1
- Champion Stakes Day: Next Saturday 3.30pm FS1
SXM listeners still indicated to get the first day only.
Whether you’re right or not, that practice will repeat this year.
It’s the Canadian channel that only has live racing coverage whenever it is on FS1/2.
Thursday is Oaks Day. Stakes Day (now called Champion Stakes Day) is on Saturday week.
Much better listening to the F1TV feed for the F1 today compared to nonsense and bullshit from sky sports.
Late on this, but for those lamenting Stan not getting F1 rights, what makes you think they also wouldn’t have picked up the Sky feed?
Stan has a good track record of offering multiple commentary and coverage choices- they did so during the Olympics (with several overseas broadcasters being offered as coverage options), they also do so for the Premier League (I believe they offer the choice of either the Stan local pre and post game or the IMG world feed), plus during the Lions tour they offered Sky UK coverage as an alternate feed.
It is likely they would have gone with Sky as their main feed as well but their track record indicated a higher likelihood of the F1TV alternative being offered.
As it turns out. Kayo offering the F1TV feed the last 2 races has been very welcome, hopefully it continues and is expanded to coverage of every session next year.
Another one is them showing the TNT Sports coverage for the featured Champions League game for the day!
