Do they? They are a UK broadcaster and there is another ‘neutral’ option provided by the actual sporting body.
The problem is Sky is not just broadcast in the UK, it’s also shown in the USA, Aus etc. So they act as the second world feed while the F1 has that already with F1TV. Either make Sky the world English feed with less bias or give the world F1TV.
I agree that sometimes getting the ‘local’ or partisan broadcast can be useful but when you are commentating a sport where there are competing tension between nations and teams you need to take a neutral view if you are being taken in multiple nations which they don’t.
I’ve heard the argument that they are a UK broadcaster used as a defence for their bias before- however Sky themselves have exclusive F1 rights in the Republic of Ireland as well, not just the UK. I know Ireland isn’t a big market but it’s one that deserves better than their exclusive broadcaster fawning over drivers from a completely different country.
Sky’s coverage has always been partisan - it’s a lot more noticeable at the moment because there is an Australian challenging for the WDC.
Which means a lot here are showing their own bias.
The one thing to note - assuming you all know already - is that Sky’s feed is only commentary. The video feed still comes from F1TV.
The only time Sky has control of vision is the pre/postrace. Heck, before 2022 season, Sky’s commentary track is the only option on F1TV.
This is a quote from Reddit that is relevant to most concerns.
I don’t particularly care for any driver over another but it is noticeable.
F1 qualifying last night and Piastri gets pole. You wouldn’t know it if you’re listening to the analysis by sky f1. It was all about how Lando lost it and nothing about what Piastri did to get on pole. The leave of bias is off the charts. I wish we had access to the more neutral F1 feed.
If you get an iQ then you can get access to F1 TV Pro.
Won’t be getting an IQ.
I only have foxtel now on a severely discount plan that gives me sport. Soon as Last Week Tonight moves across to hbo max I’ll get rid of it and just get kayo for NRL and F1.
If only someone else would get the rights then I wouldn’t have to pay for this shit organization.
Doesn’t help either when one of the pundits (Villeneuve) seems to have a grudge against Aussie drivers for whatever reason.
If he’s in the commentary box tonight I think I might be giving F1 Kidscast a go ![]()
It’s already started with “lando this Lando that”. All the analysis is about what Lando needs to do to win. Zak Brown of McLaren is no better. Heap wants Lando to win. If McLaren fuck up Oscar’s strategy again then really they’re trying to rig it for Lando and Sky F1 will be there cheering on.
The World Feed is unbiased. Hope we have the option next year
Kayo SPORTS, Supercars confirm new ‘landmark partnership’ as fresh TV rights details revealed
Kayo SPORTS will remain home to the most comprehensive Supercars coverage after the two parties signed a multi-year broadcast agreement extension.
Both Kayo SPORTS and Supercars on Monday night confirmed a new TV rights deal starting from 2026.
It’ll ensure every round of the Repco Supercars Championship, as well as the Bathurst 12 Hour, can be watched live and ad-break free during racing and in ultra-high definition (UHD) on Kayo SPORTS and Foxtel.
The agreement comes ahead of a new Supercars era, which will see Toyota enter the championship series in 2026 – the same year that’ll feature the first ever New Zealand Double Header – as well as a potential new Perth street circuit in 2027.
Foxtel Group chief executive Patrick Delany said Kayo SPORTS continues to deliver unrivalled motorsport live coverage and entertainment, adding it was “extraordinary value for our subscribers”.
“2025 marks a decade since we redefined the fan experience for Supercars. Australians love live and local sport and Supercars is certainly in the first tier of premium Australian fan experience sports,” Delany said.

“As Supercars shifts into an exciting new era, our Kayo SPORTS customers are in the driver’s seat to enjoy every moment of the Championship, with uninterrupted access to every thrilling lap. With Kayo SPORTS being home to the majority of rounds, and every single round available in stunning UHD, we are delivering Supercars fans the ultimate experience.
“Nowhere else in the world can fans access every race of F1, MotoGP, NASCAR, World Superbikes, and the beloved local Supercars series – all live – on a single streaming platform.”
The new Supercars deal comes ahead of a refreshed season format, with the Bathurst 12 Hour kicking off the season before the competition turns to the Sprint Cup, the Enduro Cup culminating in the iconic Bathurst 1000 and then a Finals Series, which will pit the top 10 racers against each other in a three-event showdown.
Supercars chief executive James Warburton described the deal as a “landmark partnership” and an “enormous win for our sport and our fans”.
“It guarantees that Supercars will continue to be showcased with the most extensive, high-quality coverage in our history,” Warburton said.
“Kayo and FOXTEL have transformed the way motorsport is consumed in Australia, and their commitment to delivering every race live, ad-break free provides an unprecedented experience for fans.
“As Supercars heads into an exciting new chapter with Toyota joining the grid, new marquee events and an expanded season, this deal ensures our supporters will have more access, more exclusivity and more action than ever before. We are thrilled to continue building this partnership with the team at the Foxtel Group.”
As the home of motorsport, Kayo SPORTS streams every single race across all featured categories of the Supercars, Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR and World Superbike Championships.

This the first time that one of these announcements has focused on Kayo rather than Foxtel, Fox Sports or the Foxtel Group as a whole?
I believe the last time Supercars was available in 4K was 2018 and that was once off Bathurst telecast which was one of the first 4K event on the newly created Foxtel 4K channel
Fox Sports were at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong today to cover Round 9 of the 2025 NAB AFLW Premiership Season between the Geelong Cats and the Greater Western Sydney Giants.[1]
This is my first time seeing Fox Sports crews down in Geelong BTW, as it was my first time attending an AFL match, whether that be the AFL or AFLW. ↩︎
According to The Daily Telegraph’s James Phelps, Fox Sports is seriously considering a weekly motorsport show, similar in format to AFL 360 and NRL 360. Phelps writes that Supercars CEO James Warburton had already held talks with Foxtel boss Patrick Delany.
