Fox Sports

Has it been officially announced that Fox has it again from 2027? I only saw speculation but no official announcement.

F1 needs to find someone new. Fox are terrible.

But Fox Halo Effect though

The so-called ‘halo effect’ doesn’t really shine when the company wearing it can barely manage its own books. If you need constant lifelines from billionaires and Saudi-backed investors just to stay afloat, that’s not prestige — that’s a warning sign.

And honestly? Foxtel might be the only asset DAZN has that actually turns a consistent profit, which says a lot about the state of the rest of their operation.

In other words:
It’s not a halo. It’s a giant flashing reminder that financial stability isn’t their strong suit.

Did you just AI generate a reply…?

I use it to structure my posts only. I’m not an AI ‘bot’.

Ok, that’s all good! Just seemed less structre and more the overall and entire thing.

Not saying I don’t agree with your take btw, I think sports are still sometimes going for the safe option in Foxtel given the consumer base you’re instantly exposed to on Kayo.

The whole Foxtel/Kayo argument doesn’t hold up as strongly as it used to, mainly because DAZN’s own problems muddy the waters. Foxtel used to be a rock-solid player in sports broadcasting — first under PBL/News/Telstra, and then again under News/Telstra alone. Stability was their entire brand.

But now, with DAZN involved, you really have to question whether there’s an actual long-term strategy at play. It’s starting to feel less like a bold expansion plan and more like DAZN is leaning on Fox Sports and the wider Foxtel Group as a shield — a way to keep the company propped up and avoid a much bigger corporate crash.

Well it’s an existing and well established property, rather than being a fresh thing in DAZN. Plus, they’re seemingly moving towards Kayo/Binge being the primary platforms here (whether they rebrand or not).

The Age has this article;

now will the NRL take note and/or is this Nine Media trying to remove Fox with speculation, similar to how Murdoch did it with Tens AFL bid BY saying who owns them and they’ll be sold?

interesting times ahead, and would be more interesting if Fox did cut back or pull out.

Saturday night football back on free to air?!?

I’m hoping DAZN causes chaos with this. Serves them right. This deal was a dud and has been a disaster this year with all the issues. Prima facie and in hindsight the paramount $6b over 10 years looks far better than this has or is.

It appears that all EPG listings of Fox Sports channels have been wiped out.

Is it just the EPG of Fox Sports channels on your TV? I can still see the listings on Foxtel website.

Don’t have Foxtel so can’t speak to that.

Don’t know what link you used to access but I also went on Foxtel website and got a blank page.

Then I used Matt’s EPG links and the only program on all those channels was “no listings available”.

I’d say there is an issue with Foxtel’s online guide. The guide will appear in full on some types of browsers, and not on others.

I use Chrome to access the guide.

The link of isn’t working for me - same as @News727
Used this: https://www.foxtel.com.au/tv-guide/grid

Maybe you need Foxtel to use it now?

Between computer and phone, I have tested.

Works on Safari, Brave and Chrome, not Opera GX.

I’m on Edge. Not working here

The online guide wasn’t accessible for me on Edge and Chrome yesterday, but it seems to be working fine on Chrome now.

The online guide works on Firefox on my work computer.
