Yeah, I checked it out and saw how it was done. I must say I was surprised but at the same time its a no from me.
Well, that’s the end then of their internal Kayo data being publicly released, unfortunate for R1 of the AFL this week for interest/curiosity sake… An “official warning” too from OzTAM apparently!
I’m guessing their only official streaming data (Go/Now) looks like dog shit in comparison.
Although, one does wonder if it’s sour grapes from Nine (SMH), in regard to NRL at least, considering rivals and Foxtel’s impressive 300k+* and lift YoY on broadcast alone. *yes, that includes regional.
AFL and NRL will not be happy, as they now rely on this internal Foxtel streaming data to boost their total figures and for their own publicity and annual reports, as FTA broadcast numbers have been heading south, with record lows each year for some years now (excluding records during COVID for AFL). @TV.Cynic
Fox Sports has launched the promised F1TV app integrated into compatible set top boxes ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
Original annoucement:
Foxtel will integrate the innovative F1TV app into its set top boxes as part of an Australian-first initiative. The F1TV app will give F1 fans an even richer experience with access to multiple live in-race feeds, comprehensive live timing data, highlights and exclusive programming on and off the track. It will … also include;
Entertainment shows including Technical Analysis and Paddock Live, F1 documentaries and short-form features
Past event highlights and interstitials and archives of races.
Fox Sports coverage of the Grand Prix weekend starts Thursday 11:25 am AEDT
You can see the app in action here
“We can confirm F1TV app integration has commenced on compatible devices ahead of the Australian Grand Prix next weekend. The app will provide an even richer experience for Foxtel customers with access to multiple live in-race feeds, comprehensive live timing data, highlights and exclusive programming on and off the track.”
Fox Sports 506 will broadcast play on Hole 15 and Hole 16 at Augusta.
Fox Sports 503 broadcast times
Friday (April 7) – Featured Groups Round 1: 12.30am-5am AEST; Masters Round 1: 5am-9.30am AEST
Saturday (April 8) – Featured Groups Round 2: 12.30am-5am AEST; Masters Round 2: 5am-9.30am AEST
Sunday (April 9) – Featured Groups Round 3: 1.15am-5am AEST; Masters Round 3: 5am-9am AEST; Featured Groups Round 4: 11pm-midnight AEST
Monday (April 10) – Featured Groups Round 4 continues: midnight-4am AEST; Masters Round 4: 4am-9am AEST
Unfortunately the app is near useless for hardcore F1 fans because there is no PiP/Multi-view so you have to give up the 4K feed and only be able to watch one F1 TV stream at a time.
If the made it do it can appear on top or on the side of the channel it would be much better.
Interesting to see Brenton Speed move from FOX to 9. Brenton will call Cowboys v dolphins on Friday night
yep i missed the Albon crash as i was switching on boards. Ive ended up streaming foxtel on the laptop with the on boards or live timing on the tv
Paris 2024 for Speedy at Nine?
you’d have to think the lure of covering an onlympics - and a home olympics in 2032, would be a major lure for a caller
2032 is a long way but Nine is clearly now the home of FTA sport in Australia.
Minus the AFL & international Cricket played on home soil.
With Day 2 of The Masters being suspended this morning due to high winds, play is resuming early this evening.
From 10pm:
Main coverage on 505, moving to 503 after the AFL (EPG says 10:17pm)
Featured groups on 507
Holes 15 & 16 on 506
From 10:17pm:
Amen Corner on 505 + 4K
These are all scheduled to run until 1am or close of play. There’s a break in play until 2am when Day 3 begins.
On The Range will start on 507 at 1am or end of play.
Day 3 of The Masters suspended due to rain.
Play will resume at 10:30pm AEST.
Then Day 4, to try and get through everyone, will start from 2:30am AEST with players teeing off in groups of two rather than groups of three, and with players teeing off simultaneously from the 1st and 10th tees.
Fox EPG hasn’t been updated yet but it’s likely that coverage will resume at 10:30pm AEST in line with CBS across the channels with a short break between sessions.
AUSTRALIAN FANS SET FOR MORE FIM SPEEDWAY ACTION ON FOX SPORTS
Fox Sports will remain the home of FIM Speedway action in Australia as the broadcaster continues its coverage into 2023.
Following an agreement between Fox Sports and FIM Speedway global promoter Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, all 10 rounds of the Speedway GP World Championship will be broadcast live on Fox Sports, available on Foxtel and Kayo for Aussie fans, along with the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.
Despite the racing taking place on the other side of the world, Australian viewers closely follow the fortunes of Jason Doyle, Max Fricke and Jack Holder in Speedway GP.
The trio made history in 2022, ending Australia’s 20-year wait for a world team title with victory at the FIM Speedway of Nations in Vojens, Denmark – their first gold medal since the Roos won the 2002 FIM Speedway World Cup.
Laura Manciet, FIM Speedway championships director, looks forward to bringing another unforgettable season of action to fans Down Under.
She said: “It’s a pleasure to continue our partnership with Fox Sports, which has been a fantastic supporter of the Speedway GP series for many years.
“Australian fans are incredibly passionate about our sport, especially those who get up in the early hours of the morning, or stay up late, to follow the racing live from Europe.
“As speedway marks 100 years since the sport’s very first meeting took place in Maitland, New South Wales on December 15, 1923, it’s only right that Aussie fans can enjoy this special season live on Fox Sports, available on Foxtel and Kayo.”
