Fox Sports

yes i agree thats a good way of putting it

i preferred the straight host broadcast feed aired in Australia in the past…and going to ad break when the usa coverage did…for me thats keeping it simple, replicating the coverage as if we were watching in america, quality over quantity, good continuity

This is becoming more prevalent with American sport - I’ve noticed that the NASCAR coverage is similar, it feels really disjointed as well.

and when ESPN took over the NHL from Fox Sports they took a lot of “world feed” games (produced by NHL Network) which had terrible graphics and commentary compared to those games covered by TSN, NBCSN and Fox Sports US.

The NASCAR world feed is a hot mess - half the time it shows something other than what the commentators are referring to.

I’m like Sifon - I generally always prefer watching the host broadcast. The only exception to that is the world feed MLB produces for the World Series - the commentary on that is usually on par with (if not better than) the commentary on Fox US

I do like the world feed commentary for the World Series

World feeds definitely have their place but sometimes they become sanitised versions of the presentation that fans actually enjoy.

You’d be the only one. It’s atrocious.

How? Their commentators are usually subpar and their graphics package hasn’t been updated since the late 90s.

As much shit as we give them, it’s going to be different without Fox. (Not most of the commentators though, good riddance to them).

As a general rule, all world feeds done by a US network are horrible and are treated by the host broadcaster as an after-thought.

The absolute worst sport when it comes to world feed quality are boxing events. Sudden camera changes, long periods of talking over shots of an arena, and the commentators are very average at best.

Give me a domestic broadcast any day - ads, network promotions and all!

what? - I agree, but what post are you replying to?

Canadas TSN took the direct NBC feed(no usga/world feed at all) for the US Open golf, as Australia did in the past…they went to ad break and returned from ad break when NBC did

Also the usga world feed director responded to me, and appreciated my feedback

I would like to see NBC bring back ‘Into The Night’ by Exchange for highlights montages, it was conspicuous in its absence

The Dan Hicks NBC round 3 and 4 intros flashing back to Tiger 2008 were awesome, and I enjoyed seeing Dan Hicks chatting with Johnny Miller via skype

The three personalities to be featured are Parramatta legend Nathan Hindmarsh, AFLW premiership coach Bec Goddard, and Indigenous Super League player Jemma Mi Mi.

Interesting tactic to include the NRL in the motorsport line-up, because when Cowboys v Roosters is on Fox League, support races continue on Fox Sports 506.

Yeah, a bit odd.

The game (which is also in Townsville) and the race were moved so there was no overlap
