Well done to Fox Sports. They’ve come good with securing the T20 World Cup rights and will show every game.
I’m surprised it’s another partnership with Nine. Where was Ten in all this?

FOX SPORTS AND THE NINE NETWORK STRIKE DEAL TO SHOW THE ICC WORLD TWENTY20 2016
FOXTEL SUBSCRIBERS TO RECEIVE START TO FINISH LIVE COVERAGE OF THE ICC WORLD TWENTY20 2016
FOX SPORTS TO SHOW EVERY GAME LIVE, WITH NO AD BREAKS DURING PLAY AND IN HD
NINE TO TELEVISE ALL AUSTRALIAN MATCHES PLUS FINALS
In a massive win for cricket fans around the country, FOX SPORTS and the Nine Network today announced that this month’s ICC World Twenty20 will be covered by both networks.
FOX SPORTS will show all 35 World Twenty20 games live exclusively on Foxtel. Nine will broadcast every Australian clash along with the finals.
FOX SPORTS’ coverage, beginning March 8 in India, will also include ten women’s matches of the ICC World Twenty20, all live, ad break free during play and in high definition .
In addition, Australian cricketing great, Allan Border, along with former Australian bowler, Brendon Julian, will provide FOX SPORTS’ viewers commentary and analysis throughout the competition.
FOX SPORTS CEO, Patrick Delany, said: “Today’s announcement will ensure Australians get to watch every game of this month’s anticipated ICC World Twenty20 live, ad break free and in high definition. It’s a fantastic outcome for cricket fans, and for the sport.
“I’m sure the whole country will be right behind Steve Smith and his men as they aim to win their first ICC World Twenty20 title,” Mr Delany said.
Hugh Marks Nine CEO said: “Cricket fans should get set for what I’m sure will be a high action, high energy World Twenty20 with our Australian team every chance of bringing home their first World Twenty20 title. It’s great to add this premium event to Nine’s expansive coverage of international cricket, with every Australian game and the finals live to all Australians.”
Sky Sport in NZ also struck a last-minute deal a few weeks ago.
I’m not sure ‘a few weeks ago’ constitutes a last-minute deal.
Fox Sports US still using Nine’s commentators for Nine’s NRL coverage even though Fox Sports AU now does commentary.
Any chance of Fox Sports AU taking the new Fox Sports US logos and branding (now FS1, FS2 etc). We are two logos behind.
I just got a message by my mate at foxtel.
he’s not sharing anything…
but he says foxtel has an upcoming soccer deal (with the EPL I guess) that “shits on” what optus have done…
That Foxtel will get the rights to FA Cup, League Cup and English Championship? ESPN currently has Australian rights to FA Cup while BeIN Sports has rights to the latter two.
Foxtel could continue to air EPL matches on several days delay, beyond this season, by signing deals with individual clubs (Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United etc.) which have their own TV channels. That’s what Ten’s digital channel One used to do in its early years.
beIN Sports have the rights to the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundesliga, South American WCQ, MLS, Capital One Cup, Football League and the Brazillian League.
They also have the rights to UEFA Euro 2016 which they’ll show exclusively.
Is this it?
Is the audio correct about Fox losing the A League as well
Sky Sports in the UK are launching a channel for non-sports subscribers
Interesting concept
with the FA Cup, last time Fox Sports had it was 1999, they showed three of the four quarter finals, but refused to show Arsenal’s match. They are so anti-Arsenal it’s not funny, I remember a few years ago after they beat Manchester United, Simon Hill looked so glum by saying something like “it’s so hard to predict English soccer!” the look on his face was priceless! And in the days before they got the rights to all EPL games when they screened selected games, Arsenal was often left out unless they played a big 4 team. Even teams that were clearly relegation bound got more air time on Fox Sports than Arsenal did!
Its only Arsenal, we arent missing much!
##foxtel All-Stars Tim Cahill Scholarship Winners Announced
This morning, Charlie Watt (Perth) and Lani Johnson (Cherrybrook NSW) were announced the first ever winners of the Foxtel All-Stars Tim Cahill Scholarship.
Charlie and Lani were chosen ahead of 22 other teenagers from all over Australia who took part in the Foxtel All-Stars Ambitions Tour in January. This 5 day camp, funded by Foxtel and fronted by Socceroo superstar Tim Cahill, aimed to inspire the next generation of footballers to follow their dreams on and off the field.
The youngsters were put through their paces with intensive training sessions let by A-League and national coaches, rubbed shoulders with football legends and learnt from the best in the business with seminars and exclusive experiences, culminating in playing a curtain raiser game on the field at Pirtek Stadium in front of a sell-out crowd ahead of the Hyundai A-League Sydney derby.
Charlie Watt - Born in Stockport England, started his football journey at the young age of 5. Now 15 years of age, Charlie is playing for Cockburn City U16 NPL and dreams of playing football professionally.
Lani Johnson - Dreams of playing for the Matildas, but in the shorter term is trying her luck to break into the premier league and hopefully one day the W-League.

Updated
Very very good news all round. Will it be avaliable on other platforms such as Fetch TV. You can stream on Foxtel Go as usual rather than the beIN Sport app. Great news all round despite the loss of EPL
I guess the BeIN Sports deal is the one he was talking about.
Certainly good news for sports fans because they have more channels to choose from.
It also means however some Wallabies matches won’t be shown on Fox Sports channels come October and November.
Hopefully not unless they give us the EPL without having to change to Optus. It’s only for Foxtel Sports package. This is good news but I will still miss my EPL. Hopefully I can figure out how to get it without resorting to paying Optus. I know I pay Foxtel too but at least there is more than one sports channel.
Not a rugby fan myself but for those who are this is part of the Foxtel announcement.
“Expanded Rugby coverage on beIN SPORTS
The new beIN SPORTS channels will bring much more rugby to Foxtel.
Fans will get LIVE matches from the Wallabies and All Blacks Spring Tours, International Rugby Test Matches, the RBS 6 Nations 2017 and some of the best European club rugby.”.
What I meant was that Wallabies’ overseas matches are usually shown on Fox Sports 1-5. When they tour Europe later this year, these matches will move across to BeIN Sports.
