The 2019 Open Championship
The year’s third major golf tournament The Open Championship makes an historic return to Northern Ireland in 2019 with FOX SPORTS airing all four rounds of the action live and in HD from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21.
The world’s best golfers will descend on Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush in a bid to win the coveted Claret Jug in what will be the 148th running of golf’s oldest and most international championship.
Coverage of first round of the Open Championship will commence on FOX SPORTS 505 at 3.30pm on Thursday July 18 and will continue through the afternoon, evening and early hours until it is completed at 5am on Friday morning.
Second round coverage will commence at 3.30pm on Friday, July 19, third round coverage from 7pm on Saturday, July 20 and the final round from 6.00pm on Sunday, July 21.
The field will include a host of former champions and potential contenders. They will include The Masters champion Tiger Woods, who still has Jack Nicklaus’ 18 major victories in his sights, defending champion, Italy’s Francesco Molinari, PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, US Open Championship winner Gary Woodland and local hero Rory McIlroy, who as a 16-year-old shot a course record 61 at Royal Portrush.
Leading the Australian charge will be Jason Day, Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith and Adam Scott, who placed in the Top 10 at the recent US Open Championship.

Kieran Gilbert joins Fox Sports for Rugby World Cup Japan 2019
Sky News Presenter Kieran Gilbert will join Fox Sports on Foxtel for its Live, ad-break free and 4K coverage of every game of the 2019 Rugby World Cup Japan.
Currently serving as Chief Political Reporter for Sky News in Canberra, Gilbert joins Fox Sports as a host on the dedicated Rugby World Cup channels, available in HD and 4K.
Gilbert will work alongside Fox Sports’ unprecedented line-up of Rugby’s best experts and analysts including World Cup winners George Gregan, Tim Horan and Phil Kearns plus the voice of Rugby in Australia, Greg Clark.

The Wallabies road to Japan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup begins this weekend when the Rugby Championship is Live and ad-break free on FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel.
Facing South Africa at 12.30am on Sunday morning, the Wallabies will then square off with the world champion New Zealand All Blacks and Argentina in a four-way fight to see which nation reigns supreme in the Southern Hemisphere.

2019 FFA Cup
Australia’s best semi-professional and amateur football clubs will take on the might of the Hyundai A-League when the David vs Goliath battles ramp up in the FFA Cup Round of 32 – with FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel, delivering LIVE television and streaming coverage for fans from Wednesday, July 24.
From Darwin to Mount Druitt and Bulleen to Bayswater, football fans can follow the best that the FFA Cup has to offer as the classic underdog stories unfold in Australia’s biggest national knockout football competition.
FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel, will broadcast three matches during the Round of 32, two matches during the Round of 16, as well the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and the FFA Cup Final LIVE and in HD with no ad-breaks during play.

The 10 Hyundai A-League Clubs join the FFA Cup competition in the Round of 32, which will be played across Wednesday nights over three consecutive weeks, from July 24.
FOX SPORTS’ featured game on Match Day 1 (Wednesday, July 24) will be Olympic FC (QLD) vs Bayswater City FC (WA), on Match Day 2 (Wednesday, July 31) Campbelltown City SC (NSW) vs Melbourne City FC (VIC), and on Match Day 3 (Wednesday, August 7) the Melbourne Knights (VIC) vs Adelaide United (SA).
As part of its LIVE coverage FOX SPORTS will also feature all the goals as they happen from the other games being streamed live.
The Round of 16 matches will then be scheduled from Tuesday, August 20 with FOX SPORTS to broadcast one featured game from each Match Day.

FIBA Basketball World Cup
The biggest event on the basketball calendar, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 bounces into action from August 31 – September 15.

I noticed Brenton Speed calling last night’s Australia v Lithuania game from the Sydney studio, as he was at Parramatta tonight commentating the NRL clash between the Eels and the Sea Eagles.
Tried listening to the host telecaster call for the Canada game, the play by olay guy from Britain was as interested as some grandmother was at leaving her knitting on cold winter’s day amd the co,our commentator (a Canadian female from the sound of her voice) couldn’t have sounded more biased if she tried.
