**Fox Sports launches Bathurst coverage **
Fox Sports’ dedicated Bathurst channel will return on Monday October 7, kicking off the network’s week-long coverage of Supercars’ Great Race.
The network launched its coverage plans in Sydney this morning, with a host of star drivers in attendance, including reigning winners Craig Lowndes and Steven Richards.
Lowndes is the new star of Fox’s Bathurst line-up, continuing his regular-season expert comments role while also co-driving with Jamie Whincup in the Red Bull Holden Racing Team.
He’ll feature in a special 2018 Bathurst Winners Debrief show alongside Richards on Wednesday October 9, reviewing the day he took his seventh Great Race win.
Fox’s live coverage of the event then starts on the Thursday, broadcasting 45 hours of live coverage from the circuit across the four days of track action.
That includes every Supercars session live, led by Saturday’s ARMOR ALL Top 10 Shootout and Sunday’s 1000km race ad-break free.
Peter Campbell, Head of Fox Sports said: “Bathurst is Grand Final day for Australian motorsport and FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel, is the ultimate place to watch all the action unfold.

Fox Sports’ retains its regular on-air team for the event, featuring Lowndes, Mark Skaife, Jess Yates and Chris Stubbs.
Skaife joins Neil Crompton in the commentary box for the track sessions, with Greg Murphy, Mark Larkham and Riana Crehan in pitlane.
The Bathurst broadcast will feature over 160 track and speciality cameras and require 257 television crew members.
In addition to the coverage from the circuit, Supercars’ Eseries Bathurst enduro will feature on the Thursday night.
Team owners’ press conferences are also set to be broadcast on Thursday and Saturday - the latter featuring Roger Penske, Michael Andretti, Zak Brown, Roland Dane and Ryan Walkinshaw.

Following the Boomers’ fourth place finish at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in China, the Aussie basketball action continues with the Chemist Warehouse Australian Opals competing at the 2019 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup from September 24-29.
The FIBA Women’s Asia Cup will be the first stage into qualification for the women’s basketball tournament at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Basketball fans won’t miss a moment of the action, with every Australian game, as well as the classification games, semi-final qualifiers, semi-finals and final LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel.
Featuring eight nations, divided into two groups, the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup will be played in Bangalore, India for its second consecutive year. The competition begins with the group knockout stage, with the top team from both groups directly advancing to the semi-finals.
After taking out the silver medal in 2017’s FIBA Women’s Asia Cup, the Aussies will be eager to claim gold this time around.

The Opals’ next two games within the group stage sees them up against New Zealand on Wednesday, September 25 at 5.45pm and China on Thursday, September 26 at 8.00pm, with both games broadcast on FOX SPORTS More 507.

A-League 2019/20
The stars of the Hyundai A-League joined forces with the FOX SPORTS football team in Sydney today to launch the 2019/20 Hyundai A-League season.
FOX SPORTS hosts Tara Rushton and Adam Peacock were joined by Head of Leagues Greg O’Rourke along with stars of the game to officially launch the new season which begins this weekend.
Speaking at today’s launch, O’Rourke said: “The Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season will see the dawn of a new era for the competition.
“We have an expanded league with the introduction of our newest club, Western United FC. They will provide a new narrative, new rivalries and new fans in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia.
“We have 6 of the 11 clubs with new coaches and a desire to change their new clubs fortunes, Western Sydney Wanderers are finally returning to Bankwest Stadium and all clubs have recruited well.”

Seems like there’s been significant cutbacks to the A-League coverage - noticed there’s no mention either in that press release or in the TV guide of programs like ‘Matchday Saturday’ or ‘Shootout’
yes that is correct. Only a half-hour pre-game and 15 minute post-game. The A-League Hour has also been axed, replaced by A-League mini-matches (packaged highlights) on Monday nights from 7.30pm AEDT on 505, sandwiched inbetween lots of golf. Fox Sports cannot wait until their rights lapse, I’m sure Optus Sport will take it over after that.
They’re still referring to Saturday’s coverage as ‘Matchday Saturday’ so perhaps that hasn’t changed.
One other thing I’ve noticed is they’ve eliminated having a separate sideline reporter. Both last night (for the Socceroos match) and tonight, one of the ‘desk pundits’ conducted the HT & FT player interviews
Typhoon Hagibis forced yesterday’s qualifying for the Japanese F1 Grand Prix to be postponed to 10am local time (12pm AEDT) this morning, followed by the race at 4.10pm AEDT. Both events will be shown live on Fox Sports 507, with Bathurst 1000 on 506.

2019 FFA Cup Final
The stage is set for the decider, and football fans will be able to watch all the action unfold of the FFA Cup 2019 Final LIVE and EXCLUSIVE, with no ad-breaks during play and in HD on FOX SPORTS, on Foxtel.
On Wednesday, October 23, reigning FFA Cup champions Adelaide United will be looking to create history and become the first team to win back-to-back titles when they go head-to-head against Melbourne City FC at Coopers Stadium, Adelaide where the winning team will be crowned FFA Cup 2019 Champions.
The Reds qualified for their third consecutive FFA Cup Final after beating Central Coast Mariners in a semi-final thriller, coming from behind at half-time to win 2-1.
Melbourne City secured their spot with a comfortable semi-final win against member federation team Brisbane Strikers, and are eager to reclaim the FFA Cup title they last won in 2016.
Coverage begins from 7.00pm AEDT, with the Final kicking off at 7.30pm AEDT on FOX SPORTS 505.
Tara Rushton will host FOX SPORTS’ coverage with expert commentators Robbie Slater, Simon Hill, Andy Harper and Robbie Cornthwaite calling all of the action.

Drivers will take to the track on Friday for the final race of the Pirtek Enduro Cup with three practice sessions at 10.40am, 12.45pm and 3.20pm exclusively on FOX SPORTS.
